Generally, if you are recruited from a competitor you get a couple of years guaranteed. Sometimes paid up-front. It can be cutthroat in Chicago, London, and Hong Kong. Probably more markets.

Without a $20 Million sign on, I wouldn´t even stand up from my very cozy chair. 2 years ago, I got a call from a headhunter representing Virtu´s HFT desk. After expressing my sign on bonus demand, he was shocked to learn it was more than the whole desk gets as a yearly fixed salary! LMAO! ROFL!

BTW: Stevie was also "shocked" when he learned about what Citadel was offering to his former "buddies"....

Interesting+ never though of that as way to manage risk LOL. I today noticed Mr Ken Griffith [video]likes the word Economic [ Financial ] Freedom more than Capitalism. And he told his 11 year young son, after noting a stadium full of socialist Sanders supporters=''that is a stadium full of people that dont know history;socialism is a complete failure.'':D:D , :D:D:D:D:D:D
