  1. These yacht, house, shark stories ALWAYS surface right before a giant popping sound is unleashed.

Nothing makes a home like a rotting dead shark in a tank.

I believe he also has frozen blood in the shape of a head in his office. Beautiful.

On that note I am selling a used condom for 12m

  5. Damian Hirst is one of the smartest and greatest artists of all time.

The Diamond Skull--For The Love Of God sold for nearly $100 million USD

and I bet SAC will make money on his other purchases from Damian.

  6. The skull was bought by a group of investors... headed by Hirst himself.

The Diamond Skull is very, very, ok. It reminds me of something Puff Daddy would wear around his neck.

The The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living is great I love it, I also think it was ridiculous in his home.

The frozen blood is medical waste and hazardous. Who wants to buy hazardous medical waste for millions?

But that is the beauty of art. You can think it is priceless, I can think otherwise.

  8. very interesting, thanks.

    this is funny:

In 2009, Spanish artist Eugenio Merino unveiled a piece entitled "4 The Love of Go(l)d", a giant sculpture, encased in glass, of Hirst shooting himself in the head. Merino, in fact an admirer of Hirst, intended the piece as a comment on the emphasis on money within the art world, and with Hirst in particular. "I thought that, given that he thinks so much about money, his next work could be that he shot himself," said Merino. "Like that the value of his work would increase dramatically...Obviously, though, he would not be around to enjoy it." [18]
