Amongst traders and other Wall Sters why is there so much disdain for Cohen? I have read about SAC trying to bully analysts to change their ratings to favorable ones that SAC has positions in, but surely they can't be the only firm that does that. Is there other things that is rumored throughout the financial community that SAC does that is looked down upon? Or is if alot of haters that are jealous of his consistent, high success?

Cohen is obviously a extremely intelligent individual, he graduate from Wharton. I do remember in the Schwager book he said he really didn't learn anything about trading at Wharton except for 1 minute thing. I can't remember what it is now though.

  2. Maybe it has something to do with this sort of headlines ?

Finally, Allegations Stevie Cohen Can Get Behind: Hormone Investigation ‘Reveals’ Possible Sexism SAC

CNBC reports that the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has taken the unusual step of performing “on-site” interviews at SAC Capital, on account of the fact that the accusations levied by a former junior trader, Andrew Tong, that his boss, Ping Jiang, forced him to, among other things, take female hormones and dress like a woman, are more fucked up than the run of the mill, “they fired me because I’m Jewish” cases the agency is used to.

  4. Sheerest. That craps been on the market for months. Surf is right. Investors no longer have intterest in sac. Closing up within 5 years as his edge fails again and again

  8. It wasn't listed in the June file. July 2009 was the first time it appeared on hedgebay, but no idea if there was another source showing the 8MM offer:

I don't think that it's remotely an accurate indication of demand. Many of the top funds [YTD] have size-offers listed.
