Oh, I meant with Sterling cause I'm kind of tied to it. But I think I may just have to look elsewhere and just send my orders through sterling. I find the execution to be really quick. I can't complain there.

  2. That was fun yesterday.

Had an order out for 3K short ACN at 34.89 right before the problem. Had no idea they were announcing after the close. Hit cxl and it was hanging. Was a ton of fun watching it sitting there hanging while it started to rip. Had no clue if i was filled and in a $3K loser.

When I called sterling- got the standard canned response- we aren't experiencing any problems. Uhhhh, yeah right. So tired of that lie.

Anyway.....just thought I would share. Every freakn day.....they really need to add pipe or lines or something. Its getting unbearable.

  3. Posting 10 mins after the open b/c STERLING SUCKS.

All routing is either sticking or simply not going through. Just a garbage platform.

Haha, me too. I have about 20 orders sitting out there. Half of them have "New" as status, the other half have "Sending-N". None of which can be cancelled. Just waiting now....

  5. Again, these negative experiences and comments have me confused since Sterling Trader Pro has become the defacto standard for many prop firms.
I don't "get it" ! How can they stay in business when order entry is so problematic ?

  6. lol look at sterlings main business. i bet 70% of there business is titlel trading out of canada. i'm willing to bet an assent or most other outfits would never touch a title due to most of there traders being outside the us

  7. All platforms have their share of issues.

Right now- Sterling is using the excuse you just cited- they are adding too many traders and their hardware can't handle the volume.

Of course, this is the same excuse we heard 6 years ago- and the same excuse all platforms use.

If their hardware can't handle the volume- don't add new traders until you upgrade your damn system.

  8. I think you need to differentiate people who use the Sterling platform to log in to Sterling's servers or their own firm's servers. Most of the frozen order issues are from people logging into Sterling's servers, I think. I have not seen those issues at my firm where we use our own servers.

  9. Thanks for that and I am aware there is a server edition of the platform and I have seen it in operation. However, the question still begs to be asked, to what does that local server attach ? To a separate set of servers at Sterling, or directly to the data provider or exchange or ???

  10. That's what I'm trying to say. A lot of firms use Sterling's servers for orders and quotes. Other firms do not. This greatly affects your experience.
