I mean you guys are going to have to put your money were your mouth is someday...

  4. It's a nice graph but it is speculative... Everything, about this debate is uncertain... The only thing we can quantify are the increases in pollution.

Can you argue why an increase in pollution and the destruction of the environment is good for you...? I'm of the opinion that it isn't...

I am still waiting for futurecurrents to explain that CO2 causes warming.

We have ice data core records which show warming causes CO2 accumulation.

We have what I guess is that theory that Man made CO2 in the air traps in heat.

    1. We know there earth off gasses CO2.
    2. We know that as earth warms CO2 accumulates.
    3. So how do we know the accumulation of man made CO2 is not being caused by the warming?

seriously future currents... do you understand causation. Don't you see the problem for those who saying CO2 accumulation causes warming?

by the way... anyone can take a shot at this... I really would like to know what drives this issue.

I can only imagine how embarrassed Hawking would feel after reading this thread, and grateful for being set straight. I can also only imagine how much farther along scientific knowledge would be if only the world's finest minds had access to ET's deep thinkers.

    well answer the question.

    http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2004/12/co2-in-ice-cores/

here is a link to global warming alarmist who is trying to explain the 800 year lag between warming and then CO2 accumulation.

"The reason has to do with the fact that the warmings take about 5000 years to be complete. The lag is only 800 years. All that the lag shows is that CO2 did not cause the first 800 years of warming, out of the 5000 year trend. The other 4200 years of warming could in fact have been caused by CO2, as far as we can tell from this ice core data.

The 4200 years of warming make up about 5/6 of the total warming. So CO2 could have caused the last 5/6 of the warming, but could not have caused the first 1/6 of the warming."

do you see the significance now?

You mean the one about how dangerous a little bit of knowledge can be in the wrong hands? I believe that this thread and others like it would render any response on my part as fairly redundant.

Am I to accept your understanding of the science over that of Hawking? Is that what you are implicitly suggesting? If so, that would be rather cheeky of you, wouldn't you say? You do understand that bandwidth alone doesn't quite make you his peer, right?

LOL. So you don't subcribe to the fact that plants use CO2 and more CO2 makes them grow better.

OK, then. Any further discussion on the topic you can take up with the tree in my front yard.
