I'm too old to do any of that now. The thread starter was looking for supplements. I've been hitting the library and I found info on Selegiline. In animal tests the stuff extended lives dramatically. There were tests that didn't agree with that but the guy that invented the stuff debunks them satisfactorily. So it sounds good, I get some, it is good. My brain might be perked up a bit, it can improve the communication between the brain hemispheres and I'm getting that.. it increases libido they say, I'm finding it's not in the sex addicted "I gotta get me some of that", way, it's more like a strong feeling of fondness toward the opposite sex and I find that is a good thing. I think they discovered a winner with that stuff. I mixed it with D Phenylalanine and got a really weird mentality for awhile then I found comments from another guy that had the same experience, the DP increases the effects way too much. Personally, I find that veganism is more of a religion than a diet. If people are deficient in a half dozen brain nutrients, after awhile their brain shuts down partially and they can't detect it and you can't convince them. Psychologists have shown that the personality development of vegan teenagers is stopped in some regards, how much more proof is needed? I knew one, she got a job at a library and after the ninety day period was nearly up they had to let her go. They said that every day was like day one on the job for her. I worked with another one, what a bastard that guy was, brainless fuck basically, always talking up veganism and looking like an underfed piece of dried up garbage. The guy could not carry boxes, he would get winded and exhausted after about three tries. He developed a chronic cough after starving himself for twenty five years and refused to admit that he might have TB... I had to get out of the workplace there because I did not want to be exposed to all his infections and his boring attack jerk personality... Southern California is the place where you can live in the richest country in the world with the most abundant and cheapest food supply and get exposed to starvation and TB... I'd like to put a bullet through some people, I really would love it... I get a vegan newsletter via email... I had to laugh, the guy is going on about detoxing at the cellular level and how after decades he is so detoxed that his food requirement is way, way less than before... .no, it's because his brain has shut down major stuff and doesn't use the energy... he'll never figure that out without some brain nutrients though.. Dang, Stone Fire Grill has a thing they call the "Stimulus Package" going on right now, enough steak and chicken to feed six people for about two days if they aren't pigs... $21.95... Veganism is much like a religion. However a whole foods pure vegetarian diet is the healthiest a human can eat. The scientific facts are in from all angles and that's the verdict. Keep in mind that the following meals are vegan, but possibly some of the unhealthiest meals you can imagine, right up there with cheeseburgers and fried chicken: soy burger, french fries & coca cola vegan deli slices with vegan cheese, veggie chips, and apple juice soy chicken nuggets, potato chips, vegan chocolate chip cookies, and a 6-pack of beer Any "vegan" who eats like this will be as malnourished as someone who eats the standard American diet of Kraft mac-n-cheese, hamburger helper, french fries, ice cream, and pie. A whole foods diet consists of whole unprocessed foods.
Of course, it's not statistically significant but given how healthy monounsaturated fats have been found to be and olive oil is one of the RICHEST sources of monounsaturated fats, you can certainly piece together a POSSIBLE correlation to longer living.

I've looked at this stuff for decades, don't follow leaders, study brain nutrition and then tell us all how to get Omega 3's, phosphatidylserine, acetyl carnitine, etc, from plants. The best diet is 80% veggies and supplemented with meat. The best curative diet is all veggies. The best prevention is simply to have a healthy colon, for that, take metamucil and don't let them remove your appendix, it is there to store up probiotics so you can get back on your feet after a bout of diarrhea... I love goat milk keifer for the digestive system, balanced in minerals and loaded with probiotics.. go for it...
I like those plus hookers. Im a big believer in cardio. 30 minutes a day is huge. I feel great and loose weight and stay lean
