  3. Man, the putzes know no end....

Grammar can be corrected (I mean, it is not as if I leave those bombs lying around for stinks to blow themselves up, no sure I don't) but an idiot like you and Pabst cannot change your spots....

Gotta love the Klannish nature of the ET right wingers though...they stick together like fuzz on a peach....

  4. You'd be wrong in your guess about higher income African Americans. They tend to either still vote democratic or, not vote at all. You'd tend vote democratic to be able to be a leader in the community.

You get invited to all the major African American political/social functions to be admired for your stances, fashions and personal savy. That way you also get to hob nob with the who's who's. We create our national networking this way too. So no, it does not translate through to $$$ motivation as you might think. :)

  5. In case you didn't know, we do it to (and for) ourselves. I had a conversation today with a guy (African American) I've known for over twenty years. He was talking about something that he plans on doing that's just plain stupid, almost illegal. To paraphrase I said, "You asshole. Not only is that dumb, you're going to suffer for it." His comment, "I know, but I gotta' do something."

Now before you go there, I was not just saying this to him in passing. I have told him on several occasions that he acts like a true asshole. But he say's it's just him doing what he has to do. And there IS a large contingent that believes that sometimes you do just have to be an asshole to get by today. Sad, just sad!

Meanwhile you would argue from a political correct stance. I say, you just don't get it. Oh, and I have relatives in Compton. And I do call them assholes about some of the things that they do and the attitudes that they have. They tell me constantly that I'm just too white for their tastes. :)

  6. Based on my personal experience with Chicago traders who hang here at ET, I could easily say that 60% of people who live in Chicago are assholes, maybe 80%. Does that mean that in fact, 60 to 80% of Chicagoans are assholes?

These arguments of generalization from one person's individual and subjective personal experience to a broad conclusion simply don't wash logically.

The conclusions are not objective, nor are they scientific, and they are racist or bigoted in nature.

Maybe 80% of the Chicago traders are assholes to me only, because I treat them as an asshole would treat them...which is precisely why Pabst's conclusions are so suspect. He is a freaking azzhole most of the time, who has a certain prejudice against Americans of non European descent, so what do you expect from those who are non European ancestry?

You expect them to not sense his bigotry and treat him with love and kindness?

  7. You might be able to say that and be correct also. That could be possibly correct as it relates to you and your connections/interactions. I would not speak from a position of generalization without some ability to support the statements. And while I probably would not characterize them "ALL" as assholes, the number would be large. Easily approaching 45%.

Now, you might not want to hear that, nor personally feel comfortable saying that. I can, and do. Both say it and know it. Birthrates, womanizing, slinging, ducking responsibilities, trying to get over and a ton of other things would support my statements also. This is the argument that we are having in the hood. We are acting like assholes. And many are having problems coming to grips with changing. FYI! :)

  8. Ever run into a trader who got burned on a stock, or an exchange, etc. and says "I will never trade that again."

How stupid is that? A great trade might be waiting, and the stupid trader won't even consider it because of the last losing trade....

Same with racism and bigotry. To prejudge people on the basis of bad experiences with others of similar color, ethnicity, etc. is just plain stupid....

The conclusions reached about the % of assholes is irrelevant to the next person you meet. Flat out, it is not fair to pre-judge another by the actions of another, the truth will reveal itself soon enough without closing doors before you really know what is on the other side.

Ok, I'll answer my own question.

Perhaps, the greatest of the greatest generation stepped onto the world stage. Ronald Reagan.

At a time when people were desperate to believe in themselves, believe in their country (As if there is ever a time when this isn't the case) , perhaps one of the greatest spokespersons for human integrity and personal dignity took the stage ...

(Not too mention his stellar track-record of stomping out Communists long before his defeat of the USSR.)

The problem with today's crop of Democrats is their basic set of beliefs can be summarized as ... "We don't believe in you, we don't believe in them, So give us your money, we can control things much better."

Here is my interpretation of the conservative platform... "Aside from national security, public infrastructure, public education, ... Fuck the government, you're much better off relying primarily on yourselves.. AND TRUST NO-ONE THAT TRIES TO CONVINCE YOU OTHERWISE"

One other plank in the democrat platform .. "The South is Filled with Ignroant, Uneducated, Red-Neck Christians.."

Good luck in '08, which ever North-Eastern Liberal you choose.
