Question is, with accelerated tax cuts and lower tax revenues, how is he going to pay for them? Maybe the liberals are upset that he is getting the opportunity to look so generous without having to actually write any checks at the moment?

  5. You don't pay for them.. it's the American way... we like to defer responsibility to future generations... Heck, we'll just issue some more bonds to pay for it all... :)

  6. The problem is that we don't have a liberal party. When Americans say liberal they mean democrat.

If there ever is a real liberal party, meaning one that tries to make the government as lean as possible and give power back to individuals, they will have my vote.

    What has this country become?

Ask yourselves: Why is it so great to be an American? Why has America become the world leader? Is it because anyone who happens to be born in this part of the world gets a passport and the right to live off of others' taxes, while all the others have to either wait a couple of decades or lie and cheat their way into the country? Is it because we define people of a certain skin color or birth place to be citizens and others to be inferior?

Or is it because this nation was founded upon the simple truths that every person should have equal rights and all the opportunities God has given us without having a king or welfare department interfering with free enterprise?

Seriously, how does an honest foreigner get permission to start a business and pay taxes here? You have to invest $1M, pay 5 full-time employees, and THEN you may pay a few thousand dollars to the INS and respectfully beg them to consider permitting you to stay, then you have to wait a couple of years for an official to put a stamp on your application, then you have to wait another couple of years on your conditional residence, basically go through the whole process again and still risk your application being denied and your business killed off by bureaucrats after decades of man-years and millions of dollars.

Which American business would have had a chance under these conditions if the founder had been a foreigner? MSFT? DELL? WMT? MCD? KO? I don't think so.

On the other hand, if you are a lazy idiot who gets married to a like minded American, you get your citizenship and can start living off of our taxes within 3 years.

  7. The US supplies free, as a gift, 60% of the food used to feed the poor in Europe!! 60%!!!

It just really rattles my cage when some of the Euros on this site bash the US and never one time say thanks for anything. I'm tired of hearing about the US does this wrong and that wrong. Euro would be called Germany if it weren't for us. The rest of the world wants to sit on their butts and send about 3 or 4 guys to help out so they can get billions in aid from us. And we get what in return? A bunch of lip.

Don't forget, the US is responsible for 25% of the world's GDP.

Like our Prez says, no one but us dictates our course of action.

That was embarrassing. His kid should have given him the elbow.

  9. Well, that's probably because none of the people on this board have ever received anything from an American individual or organization for free. You can't argue because American organizations feed a few Europeans, every European has to give thanks to every American. Otherwise Europeans could say if it weren't for them, America would consist of uncivilized native tribes in constant war over scarce resources. Europe supplied America with far more than food for the poor. The human resources attracted to America from all over the world came here because they saw opportunities to achieve something through work and by taking risks. Now we attract those who want to trade a $100 paycheck for a $1000 welfare check.

  10. right on!!!!
what really pisses me off is the worthless french (aka sissies who should have an all-white national flag) emphatically opposing the iraqi war in order to secure cheaper oil and not have to get off their lasy asses. wake up!!! iraq has biological weapons of mass destruction willing to kill our citizens and the whiny frenchman opposes terminating the threat??? what about when the germans rose to power?? the french begged for assistance, we came. We have a war in their arena- they could help us now and return the help. Do they?? NO. lets do it alone if we have to "Dubya" forget the french, they will be too busy cowering in the corner with their thumbs up their asses.
