  1. No but the chart is still explainable based on the SKF 2008 example.

  3. My attitude? LOL will you be here all week? What I am speaking to you about is designed to help you take steps to prevent a catastrophic loss to your account... and you simply dismiss it! I'm trying to help you see past your greenhorn know it all attitude...and you are calling me out on my attitude? Grow up and get over your feelings being hurt about the scalp issue... my bad...r u happy? Geez your feelings are softer than charmin.

Do a little research on dendreon big boy who has all the answers. Read about the harrowing stories of those that lost 69% in less than 2 mins... stop losses that executed order fills 15 pts below their intended exit. That's a black swan. No one would've ever imagined what actually happened could ever materialize. That's what a black swan is. But you simply say it cant happen...that everything corrects itself. Point to that dendreon chart and show me how you knew a drop was coming. Ohhhh....its a small cap so it doesnt apply eh? Aaaahhh... I see.

So even with a correction.. you're telling me that you would have no problem withstanding overnight heat of a 10% drop in GS due to some material systemic event like another terrorist attack on us soil... because you know that everything corrects itself? So I guess you will also tell us that whatever the largest intraday drop in GS within a 45 second period of any given time in its history means that would be the threshold and worst case scenario eh? And of course it always corrects itself...heck since that's the case, who needs a stop anyway...let's all go back to buy and hold.

You are an ignoramus SB...a simpleton playing an extremely dangerous game.

Continue on with your steps to blow up your account. I am not the only one here who has clearly pointed out that what you are doing is a sure way to blow up your account... in slow bleed fashion.

  5. Riffraff,

PLEASE LEAVE THIS JOURNAL. You are a troll. YOU KEEP SPREADING LIES. First you offend me by saying I take losses on my scalps, then try to spread further falsehoods by saying that I would hold over night or hold those positions till they correct. Why would I hold over night? I mentioned numerous times (too many to count) that it's not a good idea since I got burned before. I just said most of the time, they will correct during market hours but NOT always for gaps after over night. During market hours if it happens, one will see a clue of a potential drop off before it accelerates (there would volume to show it).

Your Dendreon drop off is another example that can be seen on the chart. It had a huge spike up. When something goes up too fast too quick, it will come down. If it doesn't and wants to go up more, it just goes sideways for a little while before doing so. That Dendreon stock chart looks like those classic pump and dump charts that Tim Sykes talks about. Biotechs are also risky as everything is dependent on FDA review.

You're talking about "I don't get it".. You don't get it.. you don't talk to people in the manner that you do. People don't want to be accused of things they didn't do. That's fine that you give your advice and I appreciate everyone's input. If people don't want to follow it, it's up to them. It's their prerogative. That fact that you have an extremely negative attitude merely and act like an asshole because people don't want to do what you want them to do is offensive to everyone. In fact your attitude makes people want to do the exact opposite of what you're telling them to do. Please leave. I'm asking nicely.

  8. sfba,

Why not just open up a futures account? You won't have to deal with the constant stress of your account running on fumes because of the pattern daytrading rule.

If your risk appetite is $100, that's 5 handles on 1 NQ contract, which is more than enough room for your stop or get out point.

  9. this thread is without a doubt the best entertainment on ET.

as the OP self flagellates, the the rank and file attempt to correct the pain and suffering as they get sucked down the rabbit hole.

the air quality on the west coast may be partially to blame........:)

    cheers,

  10. Good point.. I've thought about it before. I think the issue is learning to trade futures. I've gotten so used to doing stocks that it's whole new thing for me. I'd have to do my research on the ins and outs of futures trading. Although I am focusing right now on small gains until I reach a point where I can let the trades run a bit more. If I regress, then that would be the option.
