You didnt read the article about the case. The case involved an elderly lady. There were 700 prior incidents of patrons being burned by the coffee and McDonalds quietly settled on each one. The case was about McDonalds having prior knowledge that their coffee was too hot to be served to people in automobiles and they did nothing about it. The case was not about coffee, but corporate responsibility. Should McDonalds be serving scalding hot coffee to persons of all ages in automobiles especially when there were 700 prior incidents brought to the companies attention? What if the person burned was someone's child? The result of the case was McDonalds turning the temperature of the coffee down and probably has prevented thousands of automobile accidents and burns. It has also resulted in corporations watching more closely how they do business. Lets get back to the point. Starbucks is horrible coffee.
