  3. He is not only wrong, the day before earnings is when day-trading degenerates gamble the most.

    So that specific day and the day after is when markets move.

    The key word here is "Market". He's talking overall.

    But when Investors invest, it's Earnings that put Money in their Pockets eventually, due to Liquidity.
