    Hi, all

For a discretionary trader using IB's TWS and Sierra Chart, which SSD performance yardstick is more important: 4KB read or 4KB write?

    Your feedback, please.

  2. None?

If anything - marginally - read.

You don't download TONS of data all the time. You may access it to display a chart, but even then this is not even close to tax a SSD.

  3. The only thing that an SSD will do for you is essentially speed up boot times and maybe you would notice a difference if you open up a massive excel spreadheet or other file (by massive I mean bigger than 150mb).

Other than that you won't notice a difference at all between an SSD and a HDD for general trading use.
