  1. No where in this thread does your example exist. You reached it from another source. However, throughout this thread, I have described the system as binary, and in a binary system, when the market fails to signal change what remains?

Besides, I also pointed out this exact same thing using the exact same words during the Tucson meeting (which you previously stated provided you with no benefit). I don't care how often you try to blame-shift, you hold responsibility.

If you don't like the professor's methods, drop the class and see the bursar for reimbursement.

  2. It exists a number of times per day. If I were to point it out to you, then you'd say I wasn't looking at it right. And I can't look at it right without guessing or guidance. Funny, I think others see my posts earlier today and yesterday as being constructive and seeking progress. You come in and create animosity.

Your previous reply to me suggests my last post was put up to grind some kind of axe. I don’t know what I can do to change how you feel about that. It does sort of demonstrate how poor language is as a device for accurate communication.

For those of you who are not interested in this info, I invite you to put me on ignore. For those who do not wish to be blind to all the facts, read on.

My understanding was that the intent of the journal was to pass on the full skill set of SCT trading, from soup to nuts. Nothing left hidden.

I reviewed the journal, thoroughly, since the end of August, when I started posting some things that some others took as negative. Upon completing that review, I found that I had not been using inappropriate language, I had not attacked or acted childishly, or did anything remotely out of line. Privately, I received a number of pm’s encouraging me to continue asking the hard questions I have been. Some even were expressing their confusion over Spyder’s sudden defensive posture.

Now, I have done my best to move on, continue to learn, share, and ask more questions. Spyder responds in a way that I (and others) take as posturing again. Now, even to the point of suggesting I leave. This after he recently said my presence has been helpful.

Now, consider the following items which to me are fact, but not all easily provable to you.

    1) Jack has on several occaisions announced that he would be doing live trading at various trading expo’s. Hmmm? How come that’s necessary if Spyder is saying that it doesn’t help? Also, Jack has cancelled on every one of the dates he proposed doing.
    2) Jack made an offer directly to me personally, that I could come back to Tucson any time for help. I have requested this help, and he hasn’t even had the courtesy to acknowledge me. Keep in mind, that as recently as last week he replied to a pm of mine within hours.
    3) Spyder and Makosgu, the only people here remotely doing anything like SCT succesfully have both had the opportunity to sit next to Jack; on more than one occaision. Don’t you think it’s kind of odd that the very people who visited Jack to learn SCT are telling me (and you) that isn’t necessary?
    4) I was invited to attend a small group in September by another Tucson group member, where Spyder was to be present. No only did this meeting not occur, this person has not responded to my PM’s in over a month, left me hanging when the last time we spoke he said he’d keep me posted. Even telling me I was no longer welcome would have been the polite thing to do.
    5) Another Tucson member whom I questioned, knowing he also had private time with Jack, has not responded to me in over a week.
    6) I have documented at least two situations (in this thread) where Spyder has made statements that are diametrically opposed. I have not posted others I have come across.

You might ask why I continue to post here. Because I am learning, from many of you. Likewise, I continue to receive pm’s stating the converse. In spite of the above items, I wish to believe that something can be gleaned here. In just the last few days I’ve had some MAJOR aha moments, due in part almost totally to recent conversation on my part in this thread. The big head scratcher is why the questions I ask are met by Spyder with an almost bilious reply. He doesn’t treat Hypo this poorly. It sure makes it look (on the surface anyway) that I’m hitting some kind of nerve. If I am, it’s not by intent, it’s merely a byproduct of looking for progress.

  5. An example would serve to shut me up once and for all, if I've been ignoring advice that I understand. To me, the replies I get are more or less some version of repeating the same thing, just a bit louder (or more sarcastically).

People don't learn that way, they learn by being shown or trying a different way to explain (ie different metaphor).

Near as I can tell, Spyder thinks I make the commentsI do to provoke or irritate him. If I continue to not "get" something, repeating the prior explanation probably won't work.

Tell me, before his post, was my participation today and yesterday out of line some how? Did any of you find it incorrect?

I for one thought it was understood that we are in continuation until such time that change occurs. I'm not sure how explicitly this has been stated, but I don't think this idea has been too hidden from view.

  9. SIGH...

You are wasting your time. Why do you keep failing to do the other half of what's required in this process??? DEBRIEF! This means asking yourself the tough questions. You can post them but cannot expect to get an answer. Long posts require a tremendous amount of time. Your supposedly "tough" questions sometimes, for me, look too obvious, but often I do not posts because I often do not have an hour to spare to answer the questions. Even in school, when you get a textbook, you still find areas that you will consider to be incomplete? What do you do? I know what I did. I sat there, and I thought, and I thought, and I tinkered and reworked the problem and at some point, something clicked. The issue here is why has NOTHING clicked? Nothing at all! Why not even the simple case. You can take a variety of concepts and simplify to a beginner case.

    Forest level FTT trading...
    Beginner PRV/STRSQU/P trading...
    Beginner BIDVOL/ASKVOL trading...
    Beginner Lead Lag YM/ES trading...
    Beginner Lead Lag ER2/NQ trading...
    Beginner Correlation DIA/SPY trading...
Beginner ROCKETS trading... a la many EasyRider examples...
    Beginner Equities trading...
    Beginner XO Equities trading...
    Beginner XO Futures trading...
    Beginner XO Currencies trading...

So many different possibilities. Most of these aren't discussed anywhere nor is Jack aware of? How were they realized? Tinkering... And BEGINNING from the simpler components that I understood and then working my way out from there.

This is all about skill acquisition. LEARN HOW TO DRIBBLE A BALL. If you can't dribble a basketball, learn to hit a tennis ball. If you can't hit a tennis ball, why not swing a bat, dribble a soccer ball, cycle, swim, run... There are so many different playing fields to try. Why it is that you have pinned yourself to this particular playing field is questionnable and surely you have your reasons. To those that encourage you to ask the tough questions, why do they not ask themselves the tough questions? Nothing here is even remotely close to rocket science.

As for sitting next to Jack... I've seen jack nararate on 2 occasions and both times, I found myself to have a very different thought process/loop. At times, I felt I was even more on the ball then what he could nararate. I know Spyder felt the same way on at least one of those occasions. What mattered? Not what Jack was seeing, but what I was capable of seeing. If you are not capable of seeing it, it only cripples your confidence because you will believe that you don't know enough. I say it isn't useful because what I realized was that one could never replicate someone else thought pattern. As soon as the other person is pulled from the situation, you don't just miraculous turn the corner. You still have to do the same process of DEBRIEFING that which you already knew you didn't know. So how many times have you sat next to someone and it gave you the breakthrough you are still seeking (rhetorical)? I suspect that this has not happened since it is now 8 years at being at the beginning step of variuos playing fields... SO the questions is, if you are persisting on doing this beginner iteration a particular way, surely you must be doing something different this time around?! But at what point during your previous iterations did you throw in your hat?... For you, what's wrong with rockets knowing the basics that you know? Why hasn't debriefing answered any of your questions. As for the UNEXPLAINED state, there is an action for that... It is EXIT. If all of your string of sequences contains an UNEXPLAINED state that REQUIRES that you EXIT, well then clearly you don't have any COMPLETE sequences that allow you to trade. Several people talk about how they have a PT3->TRAVERSE->FTT/LTL sequence that works for them. But we all know, that just because someone can dribble such a ball, does not someone else will be able to dribble at all...

no, just baffling. In my case I know Spyder had been practiced this method day in day out for over 2 solid years full time before he ventured into future arena. Since I am not him I expect to spend even more time to learn the method. So if I found that I don't understand his explanations right away, I just concentrate on something I understand instead. All roads will lead to Rome eventually. Sorry, I think I have fail in what I am trying to say.
