I certainly hope that what you said will not happen. But if videos will only be instructional and not from real trading then it would be a HUGE blow to the whole thing. Any master eventually shows a student what can be done in order to give a student confidence.

This thread is a wealth of excellent information. End of syllabus says putting it all together, which should only mean one thing - LIVE TRADING.

Spyder and Jack can you please clarify if live trading will take place at the end of this year.

    Thanks,

I have one question for you, if this does NOT happen are you going to stop teaching yourself this method?

  3. Don't get your hopes up. It's not going to be as easy as you think. There's one IMPORTANT eliment in trading that people have trouble controlling, EMOTION. Now, this method is suppose to take emotion out but it's hard to control at first (espcially if you never traded before). We're human and it takes practice. So don't feel bad if you're taking 2-3 ticks profits instead of making 2-3 points at first.

Don't get me wrong, I've been trading live for 5 months now using this method and I think it's great. It's just going to be VERY DIFFICULT at first and you'll hit some bumpy roads.

What I'm trying to say is. If you don't get the type of results that you want right away. DON'T GIVE UP!!!!! This isn't easy and you have to be extremely dedicated to this. If you start to develop doubt in the beginning, you'll NEVER succeed.

  4. Personally I think live trading on coarse level should have been introduced early in the syllabus. I think expectations are going to be far too high. I hope Im wrong.

  5. Live trading would be great.

A spreadsheet of daily entries/exits, possibly with comments on indicators used to enter/exit trades would also be extremely beneficial to learn from. I used to see results posted in the equity forum that I was able to glean very useful information from.

I really appreciate this forum and the ambitious goals of teaching everyone the basics of the framework. Overcoming my low EQ has been my biggest obstacle so far.

  6. I'm sorry you (or anyone else) thinks, without video of live trading, the effort here somehow falls short of expectations. While I do have plans to post video of live trades, I find rather disconcerting the attitude that such an event must take place, else the entire effort somehow finds itself reduced in terms of value. If I had the opportunity to follow along with Journal such as this, I'd choose to focus on the fundamentals in an effort to make sure I had internalized the process, rather than, debate endlessly on a topic nearly 2 months into the future.

    Shrug.

  7. why don't you just DO IT?

obviously your audience thinks it's important. it's not an issue of lack of time because 100's of needless posts already on this issue. in the time and effort it's taken YOU to defend this you could have made a hundred live videos

  8. It's scheduled for November because far more important things exist that clicking a button - like learning the fundamentals and internalizing them.

  9. I was not referring to watching Spyder or anyone else trade live. I just think a person should study and then trade live at the coarse level until they are ready to move on. jmho

  10. I realize the amount of work and effort everyone has put into this method. I understand the periods of frustration and despair that are caused by the deficiencies in trading abilities. Without exception everyone of us long for the day that the hours, days, weeks and sometimes years of dedicated study and focus to learn this method will finally pay off.

However, I don't remember the brochure stating that Spyder will demonstrate the method live. Frankly I don't care if he does. If he decides to do so it will be an interesting exercise but little more imo. I'm sure we have all seen others do this and it has just about no value. If this type of demonstration is needed to instill confidence in the method to you I have to wonder how you made it this far already?

Spyder can explain things much better than I, but I don't think he has any obligation to do so. The time, effort and extreme patience he has already shown is beyond my comprehension. Truly he has shown that he is a far better man than I in this regard. The syllabus is the syllabus. If it does include a live demo fine. If not fine too. If Spyder decided he had enough of the whinnying, kicking and screaming from those who have attached themselves to his efforts (from myself included) and never visited ET from this day forward; who among us could blame him? Speaking for myself, I have gotten more from Spyder than all the paid mentors / gurus combined and much more.

As adults we need to accept and appreciate what has been offered and patiently explained; work the info to the best of our abilities and move on. Berating Spyder for not doing this or that is just not right even if that is not the intention to do so.

    Just one guava's view.
