As I've seen a few people have this problem this should clear things up. 1) prepare your post 2) preview it if you'd like (and check spelling at this stage if you'd like) 3) attach your file 4) DO NOT PREVIEW YOUR POST AFTER YOU HAVE ATTACHED YOUR FILE 5) submit your post The problem is that many people attach their file, then go back and preview things. Unfortunately that process often "loses" the attachment. Hope this helps.
Attached is another pt3 entry. See the last bar on the image. It was a FTT of the tape. The prior green bar had dec vol (non-dom). The bar of entry was of different color, and had > volume than prior bar. This entire setup was text book. On the following bar the low of the entry bar was broke, then turned around. I entered at close of 14:15 bar @ 1449.25. Upon RTL exit, I estimate a best possible exit of 1450.00, and that's being optimistic considering how the bar formed.
And another... See bar with red arrow above. I got a FTT on the forest after an FTT on the pt3 up dominant traverse. I patiently waited for the pt3 to set up. I got in early on the 15:00 bar (because this time I peeked at YM and PRV was clear to me that this was FTT type volume. I exited on RTL break. LOSS: at least 2 points.
It sure does Mr. Black. It confirms I've followed the rules exactly. And I have 4 losses to show for it. To be clear, my purpose is NOT to dismiss or disprove the method. It is to demonstrate conclusively that something is amiss. If I'm incorporating the rules incorrectly, great, I hope someone can show that clearly. If the rules haven't been 100% clearly communacated, then great, we'll fix 'em. But, something is wrong.
bundle, We had a econ report at 3pm. Watch out for those. Check my old posts for two websites with econ and fed calanders. -Mike
I appreciate the input, but again, it doesn't address the issue at hand. Is no one willing to spar with me? Really, I can't possibly be that frightening to deal with. I have a tooth ache, so I can't bite you, LOL. SOmeone, please post a solid reason why these (or any of these) shouln't have been taken. WHat rules were missed? What fundamental am I ignoring?
Here is my chart including exact trades with real money for the day. After seeing a BO, I took that as a sign for change. Thus, I shorted a position after a BO of an UP channel. This essentially led to me selling the lowest point of a sell off and losing money immediately due to a rally after my short. This occured at a BO (as we are taught this is a sign for change). Please take a look at my chart and let me know how to avoid this kind of thing in the future. Also, I noticed that during todays Up channel, there is no real FTT. But there is a confirmation of a BO at 14:05. Without an FTT, does this mean that another pt 3 will always be forming when we see a BO?
OK, just remember you asked.... Your chart so far is incomplete. The annotations for the most part are not correct. There is a FTT that is labled wrong. Check Mr. Black's chart from earlier, it is much closer to what I have. A few days ago, 'we' asked you to post only the ES chart. Days passed and the first post I see from you is trades. Why are you trading? 'We' asked you to go back to the first month's assignment (PV on the ES only!). Then I see another post where you 'peeked' at the YM. Without your ES annotations being correct, I seriously doubt the YM is either. So it will be NO help. Please don't take this the wrong way, we don't want to 'leave you on the beach'. So please, once more, just ES only and post at end of day. You have my number, feel free to use it. -Mike
Hey Bundle, You are trying to trade against the dominant trend. The dominant trend has been up since just before lunch. I have made some comments on your first chart. You exited the first trade with the RTL (on decreasing volume). You second trade was plain wrong going against the dominant trend when you should have been looking to go long somewhere near the RTL. Hope this helps.
