I believe Spyder mentioned a good way to handle these situations, earlier in the journal. After a volatility expansion of the Left Trend Line, you might want to consider looking for a point 3 in order to draw a steeper channel. The case of EMKR fits this and I think it's reasonable to steepen the channel as you show. I would think it's an especially good idea to use, if you are exiting on RTL breaks. -A
Spyder, I would be interested to see how you would draw channels and gaussian analysis with EXM. I can't find where there is a B2B BO of the original down channel.
Atari, yea noticed it right after I put it down that it went incr black to decr red. I was gonna post that I now knew the up channel was dominant but I got too lazy I guess. Thanks for the comments, definitely a big help. I think Spyders channels for EXM are how I usually would have drawn them in.
Looks like you do like I do. Enter 2-3 VE lines and then start the new channel when volume changed to increasing....
What the heck, I haven't posted any of my recent trades - mostly shorts. Same applies here as for EXM - thick red may be a problem.... BONT 12.48
Nice entry point on BONT, you got in where I should have. I was in yesterday around $12.00, but volume just wasn't there and that last fall off and retrace at the end of the day worried me so I exited for a wash. Today, I hesitated getting in wanting to see how pullback volume looked. I ended up getting in around $13, still good money on the day. Still, that extra cushion would be nice going into Monday - I'm somewhat concerned about a gap down with price ending right at the RTL of the down channel. -A
I also jumped in JASO, today, around $60. and continue to hold. I feel alot more comfortable with it. Price has Broken Out of the down channel (with no resistance nearby) on increased volume and all indicators look good.
Hey, I'm currently trading the equities method at the intermediate/advanced level. I'm also working my way through the Futures Journal and annotating the ES during the day. If anyone else, trading on a similar basis, is interested in discussing aspects of the methodology or potential stocks to trade, please send me a Private Message and we can exchange IMs. -Atari
