  1. AOB - not one on the list that I watch. A nice non volatile trender.

    12.19.

    Looking at SYNL too.

  2. Stopped out of CMED, VDSI and FMCN, one after the other - not nice.

I don't remember any triggered alert today, are you two guys strictly following the rules of the method or they were discretionary trades?

I fail to see how VDSI could have triggered an alert. After the gap up it tanked till the end of the day.

CMED here almost triggered an alert but my stoch was a bit below 80 (perhaps, data feed discrepancy ).

FMCN Gapped a bit to much for my taste at the open so I canceled it from my watchlist right away.

Anyway, a farking Gap and trap day as I said. I hate them and now you know why.

Now for the futures these have been 2 fantastic days, reminescence of 1998-2000 :D

  5. VDSI didn't trigger for me but FMCN did. CMED didn't trigger for me either.

Chalking it up as a loss. Still doing well MTD.

  6. Gap and trap is exactly right.

I watch ES too and wasn't convinced that the gap was gonna hold. It had almost filled earlier.

Luckily AOB is such a slow mover that you can't really get hurt with it.

  7. Strictly by the book. I am not sitting at my PC so I cannot remember exactly what level I got into VDSI but it went from above 44 to below 41 before recovering to above 42. My 2% stop took me out. Have another look at the intraday - not a pretty sight.

  8. I've realised you asked about alerts, not exits. I bought VDSI at 9:44 on anticipation of hitting the lower band of dry-up by 11:30, which it did do JUST barely. FMCN and CMED both hit the lower band early (I think around 10:00 and 10:20 respectively) and had positive MACDH with stoch over 75. I was a bit early on VDSI but it did have all the conditions in place at 11:30. The others were (as far as I am aware) textbook entries?

Aha ok I see now why the difference , you use 75 as the thresold for stoch signal ( I use 80) it was 77+- when LBDU triggered. Also I use 11:00 as the time limit to enter.
Yet VDSI remains a mistery to me ( No biggie), my chart must be messed up...

It appears we both worked within the rules but I got lucky.

Sorry , I was just wondering wether my calculation for DU was wrong ( my worst nightmare, only second to loosing my teeth :D ).

  10. I'm also considering a shift to >=80 and 11:00. Don't like these "skin of the teeth" entries.
