This is a picture perfect stock. All indicators are on neutral and the price itself is in the basing phase. It looks like a volume higher than 101K by 11:30, should get this one rolling.

  3. Our System triggered a signal just after the open with NGPS. MACD looked great at +.2040, and The Stochastic Indicator had risen to 97.0488. We see significant price improvement gapping up 6.9%. However, the average daily volume for NGPS remains quite low (52,000 shares), and well below our normal parameters. Since NGPS is NOT a tenured stock and to avoid taking on the increased risk and increased likelihood of slippage (due to large spreads), we opt NOT to take this trade. For those individuals unconcerned with the added risk of low average share volume, price at signal was $17.50. If NGPS were amongst your tenured stocks, you may have ignored the low volume and taken on the trade (most likely for a nice profit - but that remains to be seen). Since NGPS isn't on my tenured stock list, I didn't trade it.

  5. Both HRT and ESMC have reached 25% of their respective Dry Up Volumes by 10:00 AM. Both have positive MACD (HRT: +.0201, ESMC: +.0820) and The Stochastic Indicator remains above 75 for each (HRT: 80.7231, ESMC 80.6982). Both show price improvement over the previous day. Although HRT continues to have a float outside normal parameters, we will track the progress of each using pro-rata Dry Up Volume as an entry trigger. Note: These are NOT actual trades. I post both here for educational purposes only.

    Price for Each:

    HRT: $30.75
    ESMC $11.25

  7. NGPS continues to increase in volume passing FRV levels and exceeding peak volume levels already this morning. Current Price of NGPS: $18.00. HRT continues to increase in volume as well triggering an actual signal as its volume exceeded calculated dry up volume around 10:20 AM. Current Price of HRT: $30.80. ESMC has exceeded 50% of the calculated Dry Up Volume prior to 10:30 AM. Current Price of ESMC: $11.29.

Note: NGPS and HRT currently fall outside our trading rules for either float or average daily volume.

  8. Volume appears to be slowing on ESMC just after 11:00 AM. Although pro-rata volume indicates actual volume to be around 85% of calculated dry up volume, the pace of trading has decreased. Price currently sits off the day's high. Current Price of ESMC: $11.00. Temporary pullback or False Break Out?

I have DU for ESMC at 100k, exceeded by 11:30, but it does look weak at the moment.

  10. The data I use didn't show a volume breach of the 100,000 level until 11:42 AM EST. I suspect the difference is due to different data providers rather than a time delay. MACD has dropped just to the negative side (-.0124), and The Stochastic Indicator has fallen to 48.1482. Since it does not appear that the trend we witnessed earlier this morning has continued, I plan to pass on this trade at this time. However, I plan to continue to monitor this stock throughout the day.
