  1. Our system signaled for a third time today as volume for LWAY reached FRV status this afternoon. While we did see price improvement over the previous day, and both our indicators (MACD & Stochastics) held within normal parameters, LWAY has an extremely low average daily volume (34,000). As DKM pointed out in an earlier post, thinly traded stocks often have very large spreads resulting in excess slippage. Since the average daily volume for LWAY remains significantly lower than our rules allow, we take no action in regards to LWAY.

  4. I like YOUR channels much better than mine. I need to practice a bit more to improve my technique with drawing trendlines. After seeing your chart, I wished I hadn't exited. But, I cannot complain about a profit. As you say, "Oh well, NEXT!" Interesting thing on SINA right now: Volume increasing, price increasing, but MACD continues to fall.

Thanks for posting your charts. I always learn a thing or two from how you draw your trendlines. Your contributions continue to be appreciated.

Gotta love this stuff... Did a lot of cleaning up of the code. Threw out the timely generation of graphs and cycle information. If anyone still wants that feature, you will have to use any version prior to this one. My personal recommendation is to use Spyder's wealth lab script. It is proven to be successful.

For this release, I would urge you to pay particular attention to the "EYEBALLA" sheet (dry humor). I've spent many weeks fine tuning and getting comfortable with the definitions and the calculus vocabulary I'm sure many passover as jargon/gibberish. Much of what you see there are key flags. Isolate and study them. Throw in GOOG for today and Nwbprop's choice for HANS & ALDN into the "EYEBALLA" sheet; Row 1, column W, and press the test button, found in cell AA. Granted, GOOG is not in our universe, but it's sequencing (synonymous for anticipation) is undeniably TEXTBOOK! I strongly urge everyone to get familiar.

    I know this will help,

    NJOY & Regards,

This is one the characteristics of MACD: During strong trends, the crossover implies slowing rate of trend. It does not necessarily signal reversal. I have seen this many times in the futures markets.

You could check the slope of the signal line by calculating its linear regression value. If the slope of the LR is headed down, then you are due for a reversal. If it is sideways, then the trend is just slowing and not reversing. Check out the attached 30 Min chart of SINA.

    Keep up the MAGNIFICENT WORK!!!!

Arggggh, ignore my previous post. I need ed to calculate the linear regression slope and not just the linear regression!

I have to investigate this further as the data does not show anything meaningul in regards to what crossover MACD signal to take and which to ignore.

  9. Thanks YOU very much for sharing your Wealth Lab knowledge, and I appreciate your contributions as well. I look forward to seeing what you develop with the linear regression slope.
