You have 1000@18.02? I must've missed something. Typo? I missed SNHY too because the alert on my medved quote tracker failed to alarm. It only took a minute to notice but it was too late. A little frustrating. I set alerts 80% of lower band so I can catch streaker, but dang thing didn't go off. This would be more than 5 times in the past week or so. Any suggestions about solving this problem? I am evaluating a site called Realtimestockquote.com which seems ok. It has intraday charts with stochastics, macd, and 30 min timing. It's about $10 a month basic and $25 deluxe. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
No. This was simply a typo. $18.02 referred to my purchase of IRIS on Friday. I copied and pasted the ET code from SNHY and forgot to change the symbol to IRIS before posting to the Journal. I apologize for any confusion (and judging from the 2 emails, 1 PM and now 2 Journal entries posted, I created quite a bit) I caused by inadvertently posting the incorrect symbol. - Spydertrader Edit: I have since corrected the typo in the original post which caused the confusion.
Hungry: I have noticed that if I enter alerts before market opens and leave the "Trigger only if crossed" checkbox checked that QuoteTracker may not alert as I expect. The work around I use is to both uncheck the "Trigger only if crossed" box and wait for the market to open before I enable the alert. It then alerts when the volume is reset for the day and again when and if it is crossed later in the day. If I enable to alert before the market opens, I get alerts on every bid/ask change during pre-market hours. Hope this helps. Kevin
If you use Quotetracker, I used to have the same problem. I contacted the help desk (which happens to be the owner), he spent a lot of time trying to help me, but in the end he simply couldn't. If you use Quotetracker, you cannot rely on the alerts alone, you will have to constantly eyeball volume levels on each of your dry up stocks. It's a great program, and it's conveniently free, but it has it's problems...
Hi Spydertrader! Which programm do you use for monitoring your trades? When I read your recent postings I think you don't use WL-realtime-scripts in combination with qcharts
I use Qcharts for fundamentals culling (Average Daily Volume, EPS & Float parameters), intraday monitoring and for setting volume alerts. I couldn't be happier since making the switch. If anyone wishes to evaluate Qcharts, send a PM to SVRZ and include your email address. SVRZ can then send you a link for a free month of Qcharts. - Spydertrader Disclosure: I have no affiliation with Quote.com, Lycos.com or Qcharts other than as a satisfied customer.
Hi Baum and welcome to the Journal. Correct, I do not use realtime Wealth-lab scripts to monitor the trades. I monitor using Qcharts. - Spydertrader
Hello kriggins and welcome to the journal. I appreciate you posting the above 'work around' for Quotetracker. Thanks again for sharing your efforts. - Spydertrader
Hi Spydertrader! Thank you very much for your great journal. I am a WL-user too and I like your combination of fundamental data and technical analysis. I have not finished reading your journal and your links to the other stuff. Is your second posting still up to date or have you choosen some improvements which I have not seen yet? Is it possible to use the yahoo- or msn-scanner instead of stocktables.com?
