Our system failed to trigger any signals today as actual volume for both SYNA and MFLX failed to exceed calculated Low Band Dry Up Volume prior to 11:30 AM. I continue to monitor my open positions with ELOS and JUPM.

Huh? The OP asked for a site that provides charts with adjustable indicators. Just about every site that provides such a service will not offer it for free - at least not in the long term.

The closest to free is stockcharts.com but to use the full range of TA tools, you have to subscribe.

Reality is calling and it wants you back.

I continue to hold the ELOS and JUPM positions through the weekend. I have moved my stops up accordingly with the highs of yesterday.

As a result, I have a breakeven stop on ELOS @ $28.05 USD and a stop just below our purchase price on JUPM @ $16.35 USD.

    Enjoy the weekend everybody.

  7. 2005-05-16, Monday - Update

This morning I monitored one list of stocks (5 total equities): Those equities from our daily Hot List and from our Final Universe List finding themselves "In Dry Up."

    Dry Up Stocks

    BCSI MCRI MFLX SYNA TRGL

Our system generated three possible trade signals from the list of five Dry Up Stocks when actual volume exceeded calculated "Low Band" Dry Up Volume prior to 11:30 AM.

    Dry Up Stocks Triggering Signal

    MCRI MFLX TRGL

Dry Up Stocks NOT Triggering Signal

    BCSI SYNA

Of the three signals generated, two of the equities failed to show price improvement (MCRI & TRGL), and one of the equities fell outside optimal MACD & Stochastic parameters (MFLX). As a result, we eliminated MCRI, MFLX & TRGL from further consideration.

The particulars for each equity at time of signal generation:

    MCRI

    Time: 10:47 AM
    Price: $18.56
    MACD: -.0314
    Stoch: 19.2771
    Score: 0
    Low Band DU: 43,563 shares

    TRGL

    Time: 9:52 AM
    Price: $15.80
    MACD: -.1011
    Stoch: 19.5258
    Score: 0
    Low Band DU: 30,959 shares

    MFLX

    Time: 11:28 AM
    Price: $15.43
    MACD: -.0111
    Stoch: 73.333
    Score: 5
    Low Band DU: 43,563 shares

I continue to hold positions in both ELOS and JUPM waiting until EOD to determine the correct course of action (hold or sell) with respect to these two equities.

With respect to ELOS and JUPM, volume continued to increase along with price. As a result, I continue to hold all shares of ELOS and JUPM at least until tomorrow.

    Hello Spydertrader,

I joined this thread a few weeks ago and am working my way through the background and keeping my eye on new posts as well. I was reading the post where Jack explains the channel and a breakout of the channel, starting with a point 1 still within the old trend. I saw this chart you posted and made some changes to illustrate this point. Is this still basically what we are looking for, a new point 1 that is characterized by above average volume based on a 65 day avg? Or are we looking for a new point 1 while still in DU?

Btw I think this is a great thread and I appreciate the effort you put forth.
