    Hi Helmut,

Are you sure? I mean if you take a look on page #165 you will see that Spydertrader ADDS symbols from the hot list once a day. There is no doubt about that.

Concerning the question when to REMOVE items from the list, I agree that I am in doubt if to do this once a day or a month. We will have to wait until Spyder is back to clarify on that...

    #########

The wealthscript I was talking about is not part of the website. It's from the journal but I must admit I do not exactly know how it works. Maybe we wait for Spydertrader on that, too.

Nice day to you. Btw, "Helmut" sounds like you are also from Germany - is that true?

I am relatively sure because it was a discussion about tenured stocks (stocks with which you already earned money) without rank and Spydertrader said that he removes the stocks without rank at the end of the month. But tenured stock stay..

Not all Helmuts are from Germany -- I am from Austria

    @Helmut

Yeah, should have asked that, too, sorry.

    Another question:

EZPW fulfilled the requirements concerning the volume already close after the opening bell. WHEN is the time to check MACD and Stochastic and eventually take the trade?

Let's say the volume is reached at 10:22 a.m.

When shall I check MACD and Stoch?

    a) at 10:22
    b) at 10:30 when the bar on the chart is complete
    c) at 11:30 regardless of anything else ??

:p you are welcome. Just kidding.

The setup for the charts was 30 min and I think 5 or 10 minutes. I take the 30 minutes charts and values.
When the signal beeps (at least in qcharts) I look at the MCAD and Stochastics in the 30 minutes chart.
Spydertrader wrote: Also, Entry criteria should be followed as Jack describes. The biggest "AHA!" moment came when I switched my charts to 30 minute time frame and included the MACD and Stochastic Indicators using Jack's settings (see second post for settings). Everything became crystal clear.

What happens if the required volume is reached or exceeded just with one trade or two (as in EZPW for instance as of today)?

Is it important that the volume is reached step by step as in MFLX today or is it allowed that the opening volume can be the trigger itself?

Oooh, Spydertrader, I 've got such a lot of questions... You're a poor guy, but I know that you are such a nice and friendly person that I never would be a problem for your nerves, right? :)

    Very strange...

I downloaded the spreadsheet you posted. First thing I noticed is on the "Float" tab, for some reason the numbers were not delimited correctly... in other words, they downloaded as three separate numbers instead of one (i.e. 1,234,567 will download as three different numbers 1 and 234 and 567 instead of 1234567). This used to happen to me as well, but when I made a separate tab for Float alone, it worked fine. I tried changing the EPS and price and nothing happened for me either.

However, once I hit the "Fill" button again, everything worked as it should.

Just to be sure you are taking all the correct steps, you are pasting the symbols in from the stocktables.com download (always best to paste values only), you click "Fill" then "Hide"? If that doesn't work, I am not sure what is wrong. :(

I suspect we may have different versions of Excel... I am using Excel 2002 (10.6501.6714) SP3 (Windows XP).

    I hope that helps.

Although I can't find the specific post, I believe that Jack teaches to "filter out the noise" of block (large) trades, which he typically attaches to "naive, young fund managers". Although, he usually mentioned block trades in conjunction with his "stop offset" method, so I may be confusing the issue.

Nevertheless, Spydertrader himself has posted on multiple occasions that one should avoid signals to trade in which the majority of the volume can be attributed to a block trade(s). Specifically, one thing he mentioned stuck in my head, "I do not believe one order makes a trend." Most wise. :)

    Hi guys,

yesterday I took the trade on EZPW as well as MFLX and sold both right before the close as FRV wasn't met in both stocks. No profit, no loss so nothing happened.

Thank you smtrader for your help on the excel sheet and the commentary on the block trade issue. Should have left out the EZPW… Every day I am learning something new ;)

The excel spreadsheet still doesn't work, even after pressing "FILL" for a second or third time. Anyway, I found a solution for me and that's what counts in the end.

    ---------------------------------------------

So I will try to give it another go:

Today I included stocks that are between 5 and 10 $ as I remember that someone tried this in the past to get more signals. I will be very careful concerning this change, but I am quite sure it makes some sort of sense to include these stocks.

My daily hotlist now looks like this:

ANGO ANIK CRNS FORD GEOI LCBM MFLX PACT PRFT TRGL UBET USG VDSI XXIA

    The dry up stocks:

ANGO DCAI GEOI SIGM SYNA TASR TOPT USG

The dry up stocks together with score and lower band volume:

    Code:
Symbol	Date	ChartScript	Order	Shares	Type	Price	Signal Name
    ANGO	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	280	Market Score= 7 Lower Band= 26.213
    DCAI	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	370	Market Score= 5 Lower Band= 46.781
    GEOI	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	640	Market Score= 0 Lower Band= 59.967
    SIGM	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	636	Market Score= 0 Lower Band= 68.662
    SYNA	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	272	Market Score= 0 Lower Band= 288.245
    TASR	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	584	Market Score= 7 Lower Band= 1.526.803
    TOPT	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	321	Market Score= 0 Lower Band= 169.563
    USG	03.05.2005	Hershey LowerBand Output	Buy	121	Market Score= 0 Lower Band= 257.810

By the way is anyone interested in testing or looking at this script? Shall I post it or not?

Another change I am intending to implement is to recalculate the final universe on a daily basis, deleting the stocks which do not meet the criteria anymore. Based on these assumptions, my final universe would look like this now:

ANGO DCAI ELOS FORD GDP GEOI JUPM MCRI MFLX SGTL SIGM SNDA SYNA TASR TOPT USG

So far for now, I am preparing a couple of other questions…
