Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

I'm a newcomer but have been following the posts for awhile. I think BTUI is ready to pop tomorrow. What do you think?

 

It's not on my dry up llst, therefore, not a candidate for this method tomorrow.

ps-Friday's trading likely to be sloppy as it is the day before a holiday. Probably be better off shopping for booze and food than trading.

 

You are right. I;m probably a day or two early. Had a nice pop yesterday and was a 7. Looks good from a tech standpoint. Not exactly this board's methods. I tend to trade a little longer term.

 

Do you use ADX, DMI +/-?

Stopped out 5% loss on BOOM today. No new longs.

I use a combo of trend, channels Fibo and now The Hershey 3.0 Scan. For BTUI, it just broke my trendline plus yesterday it had a breakout at the end of the day. I look for trades that I can ride for 2 weeks to a month or so. I have enjoyed this board as it has given a new unstanding of volume that I did not have.

 

I forgot to mention Elliot Wave theory which I find very helpful.

 

Interesting... thanks for sharing. I was asking because I run an ADX DMI +/- crossover system that BTUI showed up on the 30 min chart for today. However, due to other circumstances I did not take the trade. One of those being it looks bearish on the same system in the daily chart.

My trade looks premature on DMI crossover. Time will tell. I bought @ 12.56.

This is the behaviour I was refering to. It looks fine on the 30 min (imho) but quite opposite on the daily. Of course, long anything is kinda tough today.
