I want to wish everyone much happiness and prosperity in the new year. I ended the year up a small percent. It could have been better, but I made quite a few mistakes. I look forward to doing much better next year. Spydertrader, A hearty thank you for your tireless effort. I sincerely appreciate your dedication and patience in helping me learn to trade. I promise to pay it forward when I am trading for a living. Good trading to you gooch87
Due to a bug in my code, I am not be able to post the volume specturm for the ES like I did for yesterday. I did not realize ticks were not getting to my software after sometime around noon today. And unfortunately, it only works with live data .. (I will try to get it to use historical data, but that means lot more work) Happy New year to everyone. Looking forward to the new journals, I have learnt a lot in the 3 months since I came across this journal.
I've seen a couple of posts by Jack on the subject. From what I gather, he says that the DOW is a smaller basket of stocks and the smart money uses it. I'm not sure I buy this. I do see that the YM is more volatile than the ES and so I can imagine that this allows it to act as a clearer signal. I have both it and the 2min ES that I've been watching and because it is at a finer level and makes relative volume increases easier to spot. I was more tossing out an opposing idea to see whether it would be easy to shoot down or defend. Looking forward to seeing your take.
Spyder, The link to the excel spreadsheet that Jack uses in the 24Aug2006 Camtasia is not on the last page of Journal One. The link I found to foibles Java jar file is apparently broken. I do not need the online WealthLab links. Can someone please help? Best Regards Oddi
If course 24Aug2006 Camtasia isn't. Journal I ended in 2005. Perhaps you mistakenly thought an answer I posted to another contributor was meant for you. I apologize for the confusion, if that is the case. A PM to foible might facilitate receiving another copy. No problem. I don't plan on posting them. Is this what you have been looking for? I don't have a copy of the excel sheet scanned into the .gif file, but someone (cnms2, maybe?) did (create and) post another copy to Journal II. Happy New Year. - Spydertrader
It's the new DAS sheet that I am looking for. That is the only thing I am missing, except for foible's program. That was a near record response Spyder, I wish other customer service was that way Best Regards and Happy New Year Oddi
I am downloading the video now. I'll take a look and see what the DAS file looks like. Maybe then I can give you a better answer. If not, Jack should see this post tomorrow. Maybe he will have a copy of the file and attach it here (or in the next Equities Journal). I just happened to be awake and surfing the ET web site. - Spydertrader
After reviewing the video, I ran across two sheets. The first (IAS) appears to be a revamp of dkm's sheet posted to the beginning of Journal One. I do not have a copy of this file. The second sheet (which has different colors for score and marked Daily Analysis Sheet 8/21/2006 across the top) appears to be the beta test format for the automated Daily Analysis Sheet. This sheet really isn't 'automated' in the normal sense. The vast majority of the data is manually entered (Formations, Buy, Watch For, Action, etc.) The remainder of the data comes from the chartscripts available at the Wealth-Lab.com web site. The status of this sheet currently falls in the 'Developmental Stage' and has not yet been completed. - Spydertrader
