Long SMSI @ ~11:55 EST $16.30 1. I recognize this is a later entry, but LBDU was met, and avg DU was also met but a bit late. 2. Stoch (14) just inside of 80 band at entry. 3. I really like the potential on the daily. Cautions 1. It's still under the 20 SMA. If it doesn't breach it, then this is over. 2. We may not have had a pt 3 for the down channel starting on 10-31.
I got in earlier but my average price is 16.35 and have nearly been stopped out already, but I'm still holding. I too like the daily chart. I'm also in GGR at 7.83 based on the daily chart and a nice pop of volume in early trading.
Excellent - as an additional comment - I think if we can get volume to exceed yesterdays (~500k, and it looks like it will) then we should be set.
I passed on all the DU alerts today, however, I was looking at ANDE from one of the Bruno R signals from the Chartscript. The longer trend was down but the short trend was up. At 10am it looked to be about half way up the short term channel, but I passed b/c of the overall down trend. It proceeded to move up $2. by 12:30pm.. oh well, I will catch the next train Anyone have thoughts on ICOC, this one is sort of "out of the box" it is in an uptrend, Stochastics are trending up, MACD just went green on 5 day chart.... but I would like to see more Volume to confirm that it won't break thru the channel <IMG SRC=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1259957>
I like everything about that stock but the price. I'd also prefer it had Insider Owned Shares greater than 25% (currently at 6%). The chart sure does look nice though. - Spydertrader
Chap .... I noticed the QT chart and wanted to bring to your attention the offset between MACD hist and ma's... I found that the offset caused me some problems and found a work around for it ..... you need to put in separately the macd hist , and the macd no histogram, adjust the settings then select both of them right click on one and select the link feature. this will put the two into one pane and remove the offset bias.... hope you find the info helpful, Regards, EX
Still holding RNOW and ASCA. Price remains in channels for both trades, even with the larger than expected pullbacks. Although price once again bounced off the 20 SMA, I added SMSI, and also continue to hold. - Spydertrader
My apologies if this question has been answered previously. I've tried to find a post on this but couldn't.... Often times, I'll run the Wealth Lab script to scan for DU, and on that list will be a stock that doesn't get a green background on the main script. Is this simply due to a variation in calculation or is something wacky at Wealth Lab? OMNI is an example tonight. TIA
bundlemaker, Looking at the Hershey Equities Chartscript Version 4.1, the code sets the chart bkgnd to green if the "current" volume is below HBDU. Unless I'm missing something, I think this is the script behavior. OMNI's volume today (11/9/06) is above HBDU. spooz
Thank you Spyder for the positive words on my trade. It is very helpful to have feedback while learning. Is the next step in the learning curve the "OOTB trade"? I am in SMSI from 16.27 too. I still like the daily chart and look forward to tomorrow. good trading gooch87
