Things were looking very nicely for TIE on Tuesday. Indicators and volume were attractive. I entered early on ..bought 200 shs and then scaled in to buy 200 more shs. Later on in the day I sold for a nice profit. Shucks, looks like TIE had a "personality change" today - Wednesday. Geezzzzzz One just never knows is this market. Regards to all.. Ron in Tucson
I usually hold until I think the market is telling me to get out. Sometimes I hold overnight and sometimes I sell the same day.
Thanks for your comments... In choppy markets.. I have found it is not ALWAYS advisable to hold for several days -- unless all indicators are up there and price and volume are really grooved in. Plus one can always buy it back the next day. In a sound and reliable market, one can easily hold for a normal Jack Hershey hold for possibly 4 - 7 days. Signals permitting, etc. Also.. today was a FOMC day so better safe than sorry. Regards Ron
thanks gooch. i've been closing all positions EOD as my wife was due to deliver our first child last friday. we're still waiting. today i just said to heck with it and held XING. and sure enough, it looks like we may be going to the hospital tonight. i guess i should have held a position over the weekend to speed things along!
Just had to grab that last trade... Images of you phoning in orders from the taxi on the way to the hospital come to mind... All the best to you, your wife, and the baby...
Not sure what all of this volume represents in XING, but I entered @ 16.36. Also in IIIN @ 17.84 Edit: Stopped out on XING for 2% Ross Rule @ 16.01. An FBO perhaps? Or just smart money shaking the likes of me out. Certainly the daily looks like a good setup.
Looking closely at COGO this morning. It is near the bottom of the Short Term channel and in Dry Up. Price movement up and some Volume, but Volume still below the pro-rata First Rising Volume level at 0755 EST. Anyone watching at this one?
