I have been away from the board for a few months with school and things and am trying to get back in the groove. I noticed Spyder posted a current final universe and I ran that through wealth lab dry up v 1.0.0 that I had bookmarked from the last time I followed the thread. I was surprised to get 12 symbols in dry up. They are: cmed cogo ftek gigm grow iiin ipsu matk neu nwre redf vimc That seemed like a lot so I thought I would see if they are the same ones that others have, or if the scan software has changed versions in my absence. I've been trying to catch up on the thread, but it seems that the quantity of posts has gone way up. Is there a post that summarizes things or a FAQ of any kind? I would rather read the manual so to speak than ask numerous repetitive questions. Thanks.

  5. Welcome back. Quite a number of Stocks find themselves "In Dry Up" for tomorrow. While I have published additional upgrades to the Chartscripts in your absence, only a slight variation of Dry Up Volume calculations occurred in the most recent Chartscript Version (read: The Scan you used continues to work just fine). However, I highly encourage you to review the missed posts. Many individuals have shared multiple tools which you will no doubt find very helpful.

    Again welcome back.

I've been watching the Hershey videos and have a question:

Jack shows the daily - historical chart of NTRI and points out that when the Fast Stochastics(5,2,3) pass upward through the 50 mark that "it's time to get ready or get in". How would you know when this occurs while looking at an intraday chart? I cannot find any correlation between the 30 Min Intraday and EOD Historical charts............Or do you just go by whats happening at the EOD on the daily - historical chart and just get in the next morning (blindly) if it reaches LBDU?

It's too bad Jack didn't show a 30 min (intraday) chart and explain the process..... Very confusing stuff

Spyder, I have gone over your excellent summary of the methodology from the end of your last journal. One thing that I didn't see listed that I thought I remembered as a criteria was achieving low band DU by 11:30 AM eastern time. I have looked through a few other summaries but didn't see mention of this. Am I remembering incorrectly?

  8. Two ways you can do this. With real-time charts, flip between the 30-minute and the daily fractals. When you see the stochastics and MACD line up accordingly on the daily fractal, look for a entry on your 30 minute chart. The sequence of indicators you refer to here occurs after the Bruno R set up as taken place.

The second method you could use for entry involves monitoring price and volume from the open on your favorite fractal. Look for price improvement along with improved volume on a pro-rata basis. In other words, look to see where volume is now, and where it might likely end up by EOD.

Neither of these entry techniques are used based on the DU ---> FRV -----> Peak volume paradigm.

  9. Waiting until 11:30 AM Eastern Time for an LBDU Volume trigger created too many False Breakout trades. As a result, we moved the LBDU Threshold back to 10:30 AM. 8888broc has tested adding actual volume levels exceeding Average Dry Up Volume levels by 11:30 AM (in addition to LBDU by 10:30 AM) and has shown excellent results.
