    Thank you Spyder,

I swear you must have the journals indexed in some sort of database, the way you know where everything is...

    Photographic memory? :p

  2. LOL. No photographic memory here. I have gone back and reviewed both Journals 3 times since I closed Journal One. It helps to remind me of lessons once learned.

    Hi gpzany and ready,

On stocktables.com, I used RS 90+ EPS 80+ and got 93 equities. Then I culled further using the Hershey Equities Rank SCAN V1.0.0
Here are the stocks that rank from the list.

ASPV CAS CBEY CITP CYBS DXPE EZPW FLOW GROW ICTG IIG LMIA MEK NTG OFLX RACK TGIS

You can compare this to the stocks the MSN screener picked up.

When I was using the MSN screener, my final universe was much different than Spyders after a few months, so I went back to stocktables.com I never bothered to ask why, I just figured it was due to the differences in the screeners.

    Hey gooch,

here is the list of stocks with rank from the MSN screener:

ANDE EZPW GPIC ININ JCTCF MED MIKR NTG STRL TGE WBD XING

Has not been culled yet for float etc...

Different from what Stocktables produced, and I understand what you say - with time my FU will be totally different...

but does it matter? I don't think so, as long as my universe of stocks have rank.

Beginners to this method who want to follow the journal to the letter probably should stay with Stocktables as you suggest.

Thanks for your point of view, much appreciated.

Here's my initial version of the online earnings lookup utility. I'll add some ordering of the dates and maybe some other fine touches soon, but wanted to make it available for use now.

    http://www.thercproject.com/hershey/funcs.asp

Let me know if there are any problems... should be fairly intuitive.

Also, can someone give me the direct link for a page on quote.com with earnings dates?

Snappy is an understatement - really great - I will use it for other than Hershey stuff. Yes - thanks also.

note - when I tried the 'Quote" source I got the following error msg

    'Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'
    Subscript out of range: 'dataSource'

    /hershey/funcs.asp, line 64'

  9. Great tool. Is it possible for you to default the current Universe of stocks.

Yeah, I just need someone to provide a link for me to page where they list earnings on quote.com.
