    Hi Spyder,

    just wondering, how are you doing your daily Rank scans? are you using Wealth Lab Pro with your datafeed?

    The wealth lab website didn't update its data even at market open yesterday, and may need to invest in the stand alone program with my own data feed to be able to complete my analysis each day...

    thanks in advance.

  4. Spydertrader et al,

    What do y'all think of JOBS? It turned up on a daily scan last night showing:

    1) Positive earnings
    2) Float 12347000 (yahoo) or 6199200 (msn) depending on who you believe
    3) Average daily volume 211370

    I've been seeing JOBS showing up on someone else's list as posting "notable new highs"

  5. for a quick openin' play i wud keep an eye on hpq; last qt da stock had a huge rally that drove it higher by 5% from da openin' gap...only concern is that da usual suspects this qt didn't react as they have in da past, stayin' mostly flat for da session after report, but keepin' fingers crossed this bastid will have a nice run...

  6. JOBS seems to fit all fundamental and technical criteria. As a result, I plan to add JOBS to my Final Universe laster today.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    With very little wealth lab skills, I am trying to create a scan for Negative Price Derivitive AND Negative Volume Derivitive by editing the trading rules in Hershey Equities Rank v. 4.0.0

    Hopefully others would be interested in this scan. Usually the scan result would be stocks pulling back on decreasing volume. When used as an alternative to the dry up scan, I think it could help reduce the number of stocks that come up in volume dry up, but with price at the top of the channel or making news highs.

    There are 5 existing buy conditions in in Hershey Equities Rank v. 4.0.0. To me it seemed like editing the trading rules down to just the two conditions below would work.

    for Bar := 5 to BarCount - 1 do
    begin
    if (mv2Series(6) < 0) and
    (ma2Series(#Average, 6) < 0)
    then BuyAtMarket( Bar + 1, 'Neg PV Der');
    end;

    When both conditions are set >0 (default) in the edited code above, there is always a BUY on every bar and No buy ever when both are set <0. (I suppose there is a small chance that could be an error)

    Is "mv2Series(6)" the volume Derivitive and ma2Series(#Average, 6) price deriv?

    How would I edit this, to scan for
    negative Price der AND negative Vol der (and volume < 65 day ma)

    Thanks for any help!

  8. You need to move the "end;" statements around to a different location in order to keep the buying rules within the correct loop, as well as, create additional variables for both the volume and price derivatives. Start with the derivative code exclusively (in a new chartscript) and then add your buying rules.

    Hope that helps.

    Edit: MV2 = volume MA2 = price

    Spydertrader,

    I see meeting20060413a split up into about 20 pieces but I don't see parts B, C, or D which you mentioned. Have they been merged into the big split, or are you still planning on uploading them?

    Thanks for a great journal.

  10. I split the 416mb file (meeting20060413) into 20 different parts in order to comply with the upload rules at the hosting site. Simply follow the numbering of the files, and you'll have the entire video in 20 parts. I recommend downloading all parts onto your own computer.
