I calculated it out and I would have saved $90.50 - you're right, I'm going to look at MB Trading!

    Hi SpyderTrader,

how often do you get a trading signal? Been watching last few days and haven't gotten a long signal yet.

    Thanks.

  3. One of the hallmarks of a successful trader involves remaining patient and suppressing the desire to trade without receiving a proper signal from one's system or set of trading rules. The frequency and strength of signals generated by the system I trade has varied over the last two years. Last September 2004, the system failed to produce a single trade signal over a two week period. Ironically, the lack of signals occurred at the exact moment I initiated posting to the original Journal. However, one day this spring, the system triggered five profitable trade signals within a few hours. Several traders have indicated they received long signals on Monday of this week, and received nice profits for taking the trades. As bdolnik suggested, I also recommend remaining patient. After all, a few days is nothing compared to a lifetime of trading opportunities.

    Good Trading to you.

Thank you for the reply. I agree a trader should be patient and perfectly comfortable waiting on the sidelines.

    Spytrader,
Did you add REDF to the FinalUniverse too?
    Thank you.

  7. QCharts still has REDF showing a negative EPS. As a result, I have yet to add REDF to my Final Universe List.

Maybe a dumb question, but if the Stocktables filter is for stocks with EPS rank >80, how does a stock with a negative EPS appear on the list in the first place?

  9. Stocktables.com divides all stocks traded on the AMEX, NASDAQ & NYSE into percentiles and ranks them accordingly from 1 to 99. They do not use an actual EPS number. Instead,Stocktables.com compares all actual EPS numbers to each other, and the rankings indicate how the equities relate to one another. As a result, a stock with a slightly negative actual EPS may still find itself ranked in the top 20 percentile.

    I hope that helped.

Thank you for the explanation Spydertrader. I guess I am suprised that such a large majority of the stocks may have no positive earnings.

Enjoy reading your thread, please keep up the great work.
