  1. I do not know the differences (if any) betwen sending SVRZ (notice the spelling difference) a PM or signing up on the Quote.com web site. A resourceful individual might find a way to do both and get two free months. :D

Unfortunately, I don't believe this is possible. Companies that provide these sorts of "Free Trials" count on a certain percentage of individuals forgetting to cancel. Personally, I don't think you will want to cancel, but if you do, place a sticky note on your monitor as a reminder.

You might try sending a note to Jerry Medved, or posting in the Quotetracker thread on this web site. The Quotetracker Team has always responded to individual requests to improve their software.

    You are welcome.

spyderTrader, I have a few questions and was hoping you could answer.

    1) You indicated that you're using QCharts - do you mark the Lower Band volume on the chart? Or just set an alert?

    2) Are you using an indicator in QCharts to show DU volume/Lower band?

    3) Do you wait for the lower band volume to be reached or you also look at a pro rata volume before 11:30am?

    4) In your method summary (last page of previous journal) you skip the 0's,1's and 7's separation before running the ranking script - is this still necessary?

    Thanks again ! :)

  4. Each morning (prior to the 9:30 AM Eastern Time Market Open), I set alerts in QCharts for equities I plan to monitor throughout the trading day. I use LBDU Volume for a volume signal. In addition, I have a sheet of paper in front of me listing all volume levels of importance (LBDU, Average DU, FRV & Peak) for each equity. When a volume alert triggers, I reset the alert at the next highest threshold value.

I do not use any volume indicators other than the standard alerts. Once actual volume exceeds calculated LBDU, the Qcharts alerts trigger.

I now use LBDU by 10:30 AM (note the time change) and Average Dry Up Volume by 11:30 AM (all times Eastern). If I see price moving quickly higher on a monitored equity, I might enter earlier into a trade. I would then use the various volume thresholds as confirmations.

I still skip over the three list creation method as described in the beginning of Journal One. When using Hershey Equities Rank v. 3.0.0, The Chartscript now automatically calculates Score based on the exact methodology described by Jack Hershey. As a result, approximating score by a three list separation method no long remains necessary.

I hope you find the above answers helpful.

  5. Good to connect with you on Ron's chat this pm, Spy. Ron did the typing for me....lol....

We are setting up (its done ) three new web sites; .com
    .net and .org.

The respective teams will be focussed on making money, networking and documentation (academic tilt). Ron is your connection and you will get accesses for everything.

Our last meeting without camtasia is tomorrow and we are switching our publishing order from handouts first and web supplied documents to web supplied and then handouts.

The meeting videos (camtasia) will be on the .com site as I understand it.

Each two week period is now netting 125 +/- pages of new materials(handouts not including the meeting exercises and current events aspects(making money)) This is channel week on four color press lol....

Our VI (Village Idiot) Team is one publication in arrears which is perfect since it gives us another round of revision inputs that the team can merge with their idiot proofing.

Lots of people are consulting your two journals. Our advanced troops are pacing thunderdog's annual estimate for the group.

We will be handing out 6 drills to replace the song and dance stuff in the Forbes article by Merzenich (pg 72 et al ...27MAR2006. We did a cut and paste on a two sided 11x17 to match the article handout (current event)

  10. BTUI also looks like a mover today. I am somewhat wary as I have us having had 4 distribution days in the NQ which by WJO is the beginning of a topping signal.

Daily ES looks like a flag also so I kind of want to see where we break out.
