  1. Hey guys, there's a new quotetracker feature on the quick alerts screen. You can copy/paste from an excel spreadsheet directly into the quick alerts. So if you have your final universe symbols already in a quotetracker portfolio and you had an excel spreadsheet with the volume trigger values, you can copy them directly with 1 button click.

There's no help for this in the help file yet but it's described in the support forums for quotetracker.

I've been using it to enter daily support/resistance alerts from excel (different trading system) and it works great.

The trick now is to get the lower band volume figures with their corresponding symbols into an excel file each day automatically and poof, the alerts are set up in quotetracker.

  2. Jerry Medved explains the "Paste From Excel" Button in this post from the Quotetracker Forums. Thanks Stevegee58 for bringing this new feature to everyone's attention.

  3. Even though almost all signals generated today reached FRV levels before 4:00 PM Eastern Time, I closed out of all positions before the end of the day. No real reason, other than I wanted to enjoy St. Patrick's Day without concern over holdings. I hope all of you profited from the day's many signals. Enjoy the weekend and ...

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I got a birthday card from MB trading and $10.00 credit towards future trade commissions. I think MB Trading is a great company and the personal touch makes this customer happy. More than I can say for Ameritrade, Cybertrader and Vanguard.

I know this really doesn't have anything to do with the Hershey method but I always like to mention great customer service.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone

Hi spydertrader, I'm just starting on the method and was wondering if could share your existing final universe list with me. I'm getting only one stock in my DU right now.

Thanks and please keep it rolling, great thread.

  8. By my account, NWRE did signal an alert about 20 minutes ago or so.

Spydertrader, sorry if this a dumb question but I was wondering how do you treat stocks with plain chart patterns such as FORD? based on my previous experience I try to stay away from them as they're not trending in any direction...

also, I've noticed a number of stocks in your HotList that are below 15 dollars -- i thought that was one of the rules.

thanks in advance for your help.

  10. The Final Universe constantly self adapts to an ever changing market. As one equity loses its rank, another equity replaces it. As long as a stock continues to maintain rank, it remains in the Final Universe. One can still profit from equities with a chart pattern similar to FORD by entering long on an upside retracement.

I cull for stocks in a price range of $10.00 to $50.00 USD. Occasionally, an equity will fall underneath the minimum dollar parameter once in the Final Universe. However, I do not remove a stock for such a transgression. I only remove a stock from the Final Universe for failing to maintain rank.

    You are most welcome.
