You are correct, sir. I don't trade those days specifically for the reasons you mention above. I simply pointed out a day which had the most equities in the 'Dry Up Stocks" list as an answer to your question. I recall many 'normal' market days which had 10 - 15 equities in the 'Dry Up' List as well (Autumn of 2004), but the Monday After Thanksgiving 2005 simply had the most of any day in recent memory. LOL. No. I have no background in Law. Although I have significant experience with USENET flame fests, last I checked, I cannot transfer those credits toward a degree in jurisprudence. Thanks for the chuckle. - Spydertrader
VPHM hit the lower band early enough today plus macd and stoch looked good too. However, it's not looking like it's gonna reach FRV by EOD. Spydertrader, why did you hold back on the position size on this one?
I intended to enter into a long position much earlier with VPHM, but missed the entry ($20.75 USD) due to not paying appropriate attention to my charts. As a result, I scaled way back my initial purchase ($21.17). Later, I added on shares at the first pullback ($20.96). I expected a much larger pullback and planned to add additional size, but such a set up never materialized. - Spydertrader
Officially, VPHM didn't reach FRV by EOD. However, actual volume falls well inside the FRV envelope for FRV consideration. As a result, I decided to hold through the weekend. My charts show a possible price run up to just above the $24.00 USD price point. My only concern stems from the current negative MACD Histogram, but as we have often seen in Journal One, such a condition might only indicate a temporary pullback and not a trend reversal. I have attached the current unrealized profits. - Spydertrader <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=991673>
