Did they report earnings today? The price action looks as if they might have.

I got shook out of hans this afternoon at 88.31 for a 4.5% gain. Had to leave my computer for an hour so I had set a hard stop, thinking it was low enough the way the price had been moving. it wasn't.

  3. I also got into Pets today at 17.70. Almost sold it later in the day when it came back down and I assumed FRV wouldn't be hit. Was about 4 cents away from where I moved my stop up to but it didn't hit. Decided to hold since it closed strong; we'll see if that was a good idea.

Didn't enter NDAQ although I looked at it about 400 times while doing other stuff.

A few pages back I posted that I was having trouble with my Quotetracker software. Jerry emailed me that morning wanting to get the problem fixed ASAP. He initiated the support not me. When I was ready, he went to work on it. I am very pleased with the support that he provides and I want all of you to know that. I will be customer of his for a long time. (as long as I have money in my account :)

Thank you Jerry for the help.

  6. Just when you think Jerry Medved has taken customer service to the highest levels possible, along comes a story like this. Once again, Jerry shows why the folks over at Quotetracker have no equals when it comes to customer service. They continue to thrive in a league all their own.

Thanks for sharing this awesome story.

Quite a few came up on the scan today.

BOOM, CTHR, DXPE, FORD, GMXR, HANS, LIFC, MTEX, NFLX, NGAS, NTRI, SIMO, TRLG, VIVO, VPHM

BTW, is anyone using Amibroker to scan, etc.?

  9. Here's a n00b question for y'all. As I do daily scans and add stocks to the final universe list, the list will obviously grow over time. But what knocks stocks out of the final universe list? I assume that if certain members of the final universe no longer meet the fundamental criteria from the stocktables.com rankings, that they'd be eliminated? How often are folks re-visiting the final universe list and what criteria are they using to keep/eliminate stocks from that list?

BTW, today I did my first daily list creation activity with stocktables, wealth-lab, etc and came up with MEK as a new addition to the final universe. Does this make sense?

  10. This is taken from the first page of the first journal:

"Currently, my ‘Final Universe’ contains 32 stocks. When a stock appears in my daily Hotlist NOT appearing in my Final Universe, I add that stock to the Final Universe list for daily evaluating. When a stock loses its ‘rank’ (by failing to maintain 5 cycles of 20% price improvement in a six month period) I remove that stock from my universe list."

Spydertrader checks the final universe one a month for rank.

    Hope that helps! ;)
