well did you look its like almost soon to be 5 years old so i guess when you were dropping out of high school back then, maybe partnerships move on sometimes and sometimes they go behind the scenes or underground. i am a developer for open e cry as of right now. i work with many of the top companies and if you traded futures you probably have benefited from some of the things i do. i posted that post from the archives of et does it surprise you that the links doesn't work? duh. tell spyder oh thats right its you spyder hello - did you get another nickle for posting this? rotfl mb
these are the words I noticed in the neoticker forum in reference to the Oddball system: -- it could be frustrating. -- it can sometimes keep you short and not allow long trades in a particularly strong market even when the ROC is strong -- A possible modification is to... (from the horse's mouth) -- there have been some successful ideas of using a channel breakout system in conjunction with the signals -- oddball made me more money that i ever made in my life and quick... there was lots of speculation about why it began to fail... -- i discovered that the only problem with oddball was the way it looked at or sampled the data. ;-)
*********************** Consider the system was published back in December 2000, it performed extremely well for almost 2 years before the current break down. *********************** gee spyder how selective you are, did you ever have any? any of the advertisers on et ever? ever? say about your system doing extremely WELL for almost two years - something you gave away for free, like i did ?? oh i missed it, where is that? what great contribution is touted by a top notch well respected forum vendor??? where show me?? read above tubs, hey you all can just post as sypder cause we all know by now your all the same person. yea how selective you notice he he he ! ps the system broke down because they changed the weighting of the advancing issues and once we figured that out it keeps working even better to this day. besides the model was a base to build off of, something lazy people just want dropped in their lap at least as i published it it worked and made big money just like it was published at the time. you just cant stay on the porch with the big dawg!

Hello Mark Brown, OEC API Version 3.1.2 - MANDATORY UPGRADE On Friday, November 2, 2007 Open E Cry released their latest API, version 3.1.2, into the development environment api.openecry.com. This is available from the âMy Accountâ section of our website for all new and existing OEC API users. We have made our API servers available to all developers in order to verify that your software will function properly with this new upgrade before the PROD release. Please report any issues to our API forum or email them to: api.openecry.com. After 6:00PM EST on Friday, November 30, 2007, Open E Cry will release the new API into our production environment, prod.openecry.com. This is a mandatory upgrade. Failure to upgrade will result in custom applications not being compatible with the installed PROD server version. For those of you who are developing commercial software and have mutual customers with Open E Cry, any help you can provide (by way of notifying these customers) is greatly appreciated. For example, if you are hosting the OEC API Client Installation, make sure your website is updated with the newest version. If you have any questions, please email: api.openecry.com. Thank You. Best regards, Open E Cry Development Team
ALSO WRITTEN BY Lawrence Chan KEEP IT UP WHAT GREAT THING HAVE YOU DONE TUBS? To: omega-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: Market Breadth Was: OddBall traders - Check this out From: Lawrence Chan <stnahc@xxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 2 Jan 2002 10:02:16 -0800 In-reply-to: <F14vN8yIlCyNOMWU7Rv000104e8@xxxxxxxxxxx> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just from my trading experience on using both EOD and real time breadth, I can say that there is a lot more to market breadth than the simple concept of just Adv/Dec data. In fact, oddball that MB disclosed is just the entrance to a world that is way more complex and powerful than classic price driven modelling. For example, to make a powerful breadth model for use in real time, you do not need to use all the market data, nor is it necessary to construct an exact match of all symbols that compose the index. The key concept of market breadth is statistical voting. Each component or data used just represents one vote that particular data has in the final tally. A properly constructed breadth model can "mean" revert consistently over time and can form the proper distribution required for that particular statistics. Thus with at least 35 stocks or more, with proper transformation of the data (aka your indicators), you can construct something pretty impressive in no time. This is formally known as indirect normalization of a time series, nothing more than textbook application. Lawrence Chan
I used to be a member of tradestation forum in 2001, I remember a guy called Mark Brown discussing Oddball System in those days. Could this be the same person?
