The call spread is for JUNE and it was added jsut to juice the puts a tad. On its own I would not do it for $0.15
Well isn't that the old wives tale... you know, if you keep doing that you go blind .... I am hoping we get a nice move back towards 1250 with IV back to 18 or so. Then I can grab 1150 strikes for JULY and go to sleep...
Speaking of which -- any more JA pics we haven't seen? You know, some bedroom or early morning pics of her fetching your cafe au lait?
i noticed the same thing but didnt want to bring it up. there is still some reference to her existence in the way of quotes of her posts but the posts themselves are nowhere to be found
Coach: Now that you have that anchor of a job off of your neck, would you ever think about running a seminar on Option Trading. Besides yourself, I can think of several members of this thread who could be additional guest speakers. Just a thought. You can count me in if you decide to follow through, especially if you are passing on the ET thread discount.
I have been looking into the idea of option trading seminars, but not the kind you are thinking of. I really am not a fan of self-appointed guru seminars which claim to teach a system or guarantee 100% returns a year. My idea is more of a blue collar academic approach. I want to teach newbies what options are, how they work and the correct ways to use them and risk management. I want to do the teach a man to fish approach where I do not tell them exactly what to trade, but teach them the product and the strategies in detail so they understand them and then make them study themselves to determine the best strategies for their own trading style. In other words, a teaching approach without any set-ups for pushing products or newsletters or 1 specific way to trade. Just straight-forward teaching of options and how they work and can be used to educate the investor and let them learn how to do it for themselves. I think outside of most books, all seminars now are to push a website, seminar or newsletter and make outlandish claims. I will make outlandish claims too though. Claims such as, I do not guarantee any annual returns, I will not teach you the Holy Grail, as it does not exist, I will not tell you this is easy, I will not show you how any 12-year old can do it, I will not sell you crap you do not need since not only do I not have any real crap to sell, except for books I never bought anything really anyway, I will not make false performance claims, I will honestly tell you that you will most likely lose money initially and quite a lot if you have no risk management skills, etc... I like teaching. This past semester I taught 3 individual classes at the George Washington University School of Business to MBA and MSF students on practical trading ideas (i.e., taking the class theory and applying it to real trading, etc..) and it is quite fun. if I do seminars, I would want them to be the same way and not sleezy and full of hype. I do not have any system to sell or teach anyone. I just want people to learn how options really work and how to use them correctly so they can take that knowledge and apply it themselves without the crap of false claims. I never have a problem telling people that this is the hardest work I have ever had to do and most people will fial for lack of discipline, skill and emotional control. So the short answer is yes but geared more towards the newbies so they get the proper education I never had, and most do not, when I first started. I do not know when since my plate is full but I always felt some pride in helping newbies avoid my stupid mistakes. As for intermediate and advanced traders, well you can just hang out here
Phil - It sounds like you've been thinking about this for a while. You'll do a great job of it. As long as your seminars include a Red Light/Green Light component; I'm ready to sign up...
LOL..... actually it will have a blank screen and a stock ticker and when the little cat face appears you BUY!
