Also, Yahoo Finance has a nice calendar of events. It's under teh tab Investing, then under "Todays events - Economics"
I never requested any help to use OX software. I just created an account with TOS and my God I can't even find a way to trade simple option. Somebody help me!!!! I have downloaded the Desktop version and there is no way I can use this wihout help. How do I watch a spread with this thing? OX is straightforward.
I found the TOS software ready to go. But, there is a real easy manual that can be downloaded on the help page.
Go to the Help tab on the TOS software. They have narrated videos on how to use their software. It only took me an hour or so to get comfortable with it. Once you see how it works you will see how much better it is than OX.
I checked this out and saw that is was powered by Briefing.com. I clicked on the link and Briefing.com has a great calendar that goes out pretty far into the future. I am bookmarking that one!
piccon, I remember initially feeling the same way. Take the time to go through all the videos in the support section and then attend a TOS software class. One you're a little familiar with it, you'll love it. On that note, I gave IB's TWS my best shot... and ditched it.
Yes, it is different than OX. However, yesterday when I placed my OX spread trade, I realized how much of a hassle it is to use OX. Wait till you see how easy it is to place a vertical spread. No more 5 letter option symbols preceded by a period. Just give yourself some time to get used to it.
If you go to TOS class in Chicago, they'd bring you in SPX/OEX pit, the TOS trade page is resemblance to the giant quote screen in the pit. It's designed for trader. Eventually, when you get used to it, you'd like it more than OX or IB. The naratted video is very helpful.
