  1. perhaps you can start a new thread every 100 or 200 pages and name it part 2,3,4, etc.

  2. Yeah I guess. I even thought about a new thread for 2006 but there is so much info burried that I thought it would be cut off and the older threads would just die out.

Maybe I can just summarize my approach and current positions in a new thread started going forward. Of course we might then get all the same questions again which are found in the old thread but we can bring newbies up to speed :D.

    Wil work on the idea...

  3. Guess our Mod can do it easily.

  4. I do not know if I trust the mods to arbitrarily carve up the Journal. The search function here on ET can let you key in on a word or phrase within the thread. If not, I can answer a question if the previous answer is too far buried to find easily...

  6. Coach,

Thank you for this excellent thread. Best on the web. Any hint at when you are going to lay out your new hedge stradegy you mentioned last week ? :D

  7. I am testing it out a bit. The strategy was not mine but a friend who runs a hedge fund doing credit spreads on the indexes but with waaaaaaay more duckets than me lol. I am looking into the numbers for a MAY position so I will let you know soon.

Small foreshadowing... it is only for black swan event drops in the index which would damage OTM put spreads. Not perfect but quite interesting... stay tuned.

First - great thread. This goes not only to the *Coach* but to all involved. Too many threads on here go down in 'flames' - glad to see this one hasn't.

Second - I have an upcoming flight - anyone know how I can print out the whole thread in one fell swoop to read on the flight? Going thru 800+ pages is a bit time consuming!

I am sure I will be back with more questions as I get up to speed.

    Cheers!

  9. Well 800 pages is a bit much, especially since there are points where we get off track and go off subject lol. I wish there was a way to narrow it down to the good stuff lol.

I think if you just join in now you can see what positions we are taking and how we are handling the risk. Whenever I get any time I will try and pull out the nuggets and condense this down a bit.

You can go for max 40 posts/page but you still have to print about 120 pages.

Here is how you do it.
