  4. Hey Coach,

    Can you comment on the Tradestation platform. I saw that they have a new option trading platform. Can you trade spreads? Is the market info timely? What are your general impressions? I think the commissions are somewhat cheaper than TOS.

    Thanks

  6. Well I got filled this morning on a March position:

    - 150 MAR SPX 1185/1195 Put Spreads @ $0.40

    Credit = $6,000

    Risk = Spread Margin - Credit = $144,000

    Return on Risk = 4.16%

    Not too happy with the fill but was not getting anywhere with $0.50 or $0.45 and can sense the market building a base here.

    Including the above, my positions are:

    - 125 FEB SPX 1185/1205 Put Spreads @ $0.45

    - 150 MAR SPX 1185/1195 Put Spreads @ $0.40

    Will let FEB go to expiration and sit on MAR positions for right now.

  9. I have only used TradeStation for futures trading and their charting platform which I really like. Have not looked at their options capability so do not know how they fare with all the complex orders and margin rules. For futures I have not had any complaints but options is another ballgame when it comes to platforms.
