Mixed so far. Have on OTM on the ES at around1400 but we keep pulling back as we get higher. GOOG one is down slightly since GOOG has been flat since its spike up.
So, if I can be blunt, are you losing your enthusiasm for this strategy after trying it out. Or is it more the current market environment that is perhaps limiting the strategy.
Nah, it is just one month is not enough time to really make a final decision yet. I only have one position on the ES and one on GOOG so I need to study it more and see when is the best time to put it on and how to manage it.
I am afraid its not working out, coach(atleast, for me). The DEC long positions are losing more than the JAN short position. I am clueless as to how to close it. This is only paper money . DID I PUT IT ON REVERSE?.
I am the one who try to get all the pieces from the 5 pieces that Mav has been giving out so far. I haven't put the strategy in action yet, and so it is not me who blame Mav. So who blamed Mav so far
In my experience people who say "never" in the financial world are likely to be proven wrong in the future. I'm not advocating selling naked premium but I imagine there's at least a few traders who are successful at it. Just my experience...
he is right. even if you have all "100" pieces of the puzzle, you will not be able to replicate it easily. part of his edge is implementing the pieces. you can know the rules and some tricks of baseball; but ultimately to succeed you will need that intangible ability to make it all work together seamlessly. that is imo why he cannot just list the way it is done. all the above is of course based on the assumption that mav does make money consistently and the way it is structured is sound. and coach..... the thread has gone a little off track because of the markets. things will get back to the environment that works best for your strategy.....then we will all see those spx trades again.
Michaela , if 1m people start taking a 50/50 bet ones a year , after 19 years few of them ( exactly two , inverse of 2^19) STILL never lost a bet...
