Lots of people from successful execs to your everyday skilled tradesmen stay on their orignal path well past the point of necessity. Nothing out of the ordiniary for one to chose not to change their business model. Im sure a certain level of overall entertainment has a lot to do with it.

It takes no degree of complexity to see your character for what it is, spiteful and ill-tempered.

  4. Bone, after seeing Mark Fisher's presentation today I think you ought to make him an affiliate. He went on the entire time about spread trading, futures as well as stocks. :p

I think the only thing Bone may be guilty of is an amateur website, last time I checked. I think he is legit.

Seriously though, I know the rep of Advantage Futures and I don't believe they would allow him to photoshop a brokerage statement. That statement could be easily verified. AF is a standup group. Haven't heard a single complaint about them.

Well, since Mark left the Nymex floor and was forced onto the screen I'm sure that he is doing quite a bit of spread trading. Seems like a natural progression. He was in Chicago in 2006 when the CME was in talks to buy Nymex, and since I was trading out of the CME building at the time and did alot of Nymex and ICE volume somehow we hooked up for a very brief chat - he was walking through the Advantage Futures offices and I had a private office there on the 20th floor.

I've known Joe and Terry personally for many years over at Advantage Futures, and they in fact know the statement is there. They also clear about a dozen or so of my clients.

I've admitted several times that the website is amateur, but I really don't care. It serves it's purpose exceedingly well despite the rough and simple look and I have more potential clients than I really need - in fact, I will be taking on a special project for a very large firm here in Chicago.

JoeP, you still have yet to show one post with any sort of trading acumen in 2 years. Not one post with any sort of even superficial knowledge about markets. How would you even know how to read a futures clearing statement if you saw one posted?

Well, Bone, let's put it this way. You must have at least a couple million bucks right? 20% a year is 400K a year, I bet you barely make any money on your website.

Hmmm..... No, wait. Yeah, I'm a successful long time trader. Hmmm. Fuck it. I'll open a website, beg people to give me money, bull shit and spend tons of time training for a few thousand a pop. Yeah, now that sounds like a good idea.

  9. Something like this ?

    1%

    2%

    3%

    4%

    5%

    4%

    3%

    2%

    1%

    2%

    3%

    4%

    5%

    4%

    3%

    2%

    1%

    1%

    ------

    average 50/18 = 2.7 %/year

Then you would be doing even worse than my 8%/year

Why are you showing us only a statement from 2006 in which you made 500K , what about showing us the missing statements from 2006 till 2010 ???

  10. Just ran across this diatribe. Bone does have the standard cftc disclaimer on his website but his claim of profitable full time 18 year trading record needs to be credible or he is in violation of cftc code. Should someone chose, make a complaint with the cftc that he is making the claim but not backing it up. They will likely investigate and ask him to verify the claim.

That being said Bone seems to be a professional and well aware of the law. I find it a stretch that he would not toe the line with the cftc but you never know.

    Any takers?
