Nope, I'm not a bitter cynic whose ego cannot accept that people can actually be successful at trading and are willing to help others. You can't trade and can't accept that others can do what you can't. It's that simple.
Bone, you still haven't answered my question. Are you a profitable trader? Or you just a failed trader that try to sell education??
Do you think a trader would give away a legitimate edge for $7500 possibly diluting it out of existence? By your logic, a vendor is almost always a fraud.
. You have one twisted view of the world. Bone isn't selling a money making machine that all you need to do is turn on and the cash will roll right in. He is selling a methodology that works-- huge difference.
I agree with this essentially. One important caveat: a client tends to get out of it what he puts into it. There is a direct correlation between the effort the client invests and his future success with it. No such thing as the holy grail. The real secret us that there is no secret. I take a great deal of professional satisfaction knowing that the vast majority of my clients have been very pleased and I have made many lifetime friends and contacts through my client business. I would also argue that it is orders of magnitude more difficult to dilute a spread trading methodology that employs literally thousands of different spread combinations ( many with more size on the bid /ask than the flat price front month futures contract ) versus any other methodology than I can think of.
i don't know bone or if he's legit but i can def back his above point. trading futures spreads ; i have helped (advice given, but not any mentoring type stuff..not worth my time) my share of guys and have seen nothing but blowups and flat earning while i make a very very nice living, telling me there is far more to success than just having the initial setup.
If you had read my posts, you'd realize that I've already said the same thing you have. Multiple times. And bone would agree with me. He is not selling a turn key system. Nobody at ET would take issue with somebody selling an "Intro to spread trading course". We take issue with deceptive marketing practices that hint at a low cost edge. There is no worthwhile edge that costs 7.5 K. I suspect that most of bone's successful customers are profitable traders looking to expand into spread trading. New traders should take bone's course with reasonable expectations.
Two points: 1) There are secrets. The biggest secret on ET was the millenium arb. It was posted on ET as its effectiveness waned but the first traders to pounce on it made fortunes. 2) Are you saying that out of the thousands of spread combos, all will be profitable? From what I've seen only a few spreads have a solid fundamental relationship along with good cointegration and correlation. I find it hard to believe that there are thousands of pairs as good as Royal Dutch A&B stock but I could be wrong...
I am neither cynical nor bitter. I have found my lucrative niche in this business, have you? Either you see what i say now as truth, or you will see it after you waste your prime earning years. Its up to you. Peace, Surf
Man, this is twisted and shows an incredible naivity and arrogance rolled into one. How may i short you?
