  3. yet as has been pointed out they always find a way to choke big-time in the second half of the season. So many 5-0 or 6-0 starts and then they just collapse! Watching the Jets' comeback a couple of years ago in the fourth quarter from 30 points or so down was excruciating as it seemed to perfectly encapsulate what the Fins are all about...:(

So now they have Junior Seau and Mcknight and Brian Griese too if I'm not mistaken - maybe Griese can bring back some of the magic his dad possessed in the 70's - yeah, and Khomeini was Jewish....

Maybe I'm just jaded as hell but somehow I don't see them as the key to getting over the second half of the season wall the fish run into every darn year.

'sigh' So it's tough being a Dolphins fan but hey, if you can't stick with your team in the down years you aren't a real fan now are you?

  4. Junior Seau is as over rated as they come, I know I watched him play in San Diego for the past many years. He is done.

  5. I agree...Heart is willing but the body is not...he abused himslef over the years and left it all on the field in the lat 90's

  6. I enjoy watching the Dolphins but the team that will scorch the league this year could well be the Skins. Second year QB Patrick Ramsey has an absolute cannon and is tough. Last year the receivers were average speed at best, but they stole Laverneaus Coles from the Jets and added two other speedy guys through free agency and the draft. They upgraded the O line and it should now go from suspect to superb. Steve Spurrier was embarrassed by last year's poor offense but the Fun'n Gun could be ready to roll by the fall.

  7. Ramsey???? This is the gun from Tulane??? Wasn't too impressed by himbut maybe he needs time...I think the Skins got snookered....I love L. Coles but he is a touch possession receiver with some good speed, but he also had his coming out when Pennigton took over....He and Pennington practiced privately for three years and developed incredible chemistry and timing...13 mill signing bonus???? no way....I think he is going to catch 50 balls this year( not through his own fault) and the skins are going to be cap strapped for a long time

  8. Ramsey is the Tulane guy. He reminds me a lot of former skins and chargers qb Stan Humphries. Both big cajuns with big arms and not afraid to take a hit. Honestly, a lot of us were scratching our heads whenthey used a late number 1 pick on him last year, but when we saw him throw we all thought it was a steal.

I thought Coles was more of a speed guy than a possession receiver. They will be mighty disappointed if he can't stretch the defense and draw double coverage.

The Jets made a major blunder with Coles. He was a restricted free agent, and if they had made a maximum tender to him, the skins would have owed multiple draft picks instead of just a number one. The skins have said they would have passed in that event. The difference in the tenders was a few hundred thousand, and in any event the max tender was less than they would have paid him.

  9. I gotta disagree....As much as I love Coles...he is not one of the 2-3 or even 10 best receivers in the NFL...but the tender would have made him the highest paid...as it stands, the Skins are in big trouble cap wise in the future...that bonus was crazy....and the Jets got a 1st round pick for him anyway....nto bad considering he was a 3rd round pick three years ago...
