    One thing I have been doing today that I had not been doing in the past is using a 10 minute chart w/the same setup on it. It really seems to help if the 10 minute is going one way and you see the same on the 2 minute.

  2. Your first short was taken against the a positive MACD, so it shouldn't be there. The other trades worked out (or worked out subsquent to your posting your chart.

    The system is just a tool that you use to read price action.

    Many of these points have been referenced either in this or previous threads. You should take a read through them after today's trading so you can see how they were dealth with.

    Edit: I can see you've started already.

    Sorry about the indicators you see. Those weren't actual trades just Blue Wave Trading indicators I have setup on my chart. It plots the price and which trade to take. Looks real evident and pretty after the fact but like everything else not so evident in real time.

  4. A quiet day all around, but managed to eek out some profit, including last night's trades.

    Total for day: $648.50

    Don't forget to vote tomorrow. :p

  6. I just watched today. I tried to observe past when I would've been trying to work a trade. I'm not sure how to have entries and exits not be late.

    One idea that still seems to be decent is to see a trade or "the" trade but then use the 3sma to work an order instead of just jumping in (often at the end of a short term directional move one is trying to get some of). If the MACD signals are going to be a large one, there are other chances to get in.

    Another is just to plain anticipate the heck out of the signal, and again use the entry and exit to limit losses by making sure not to get rinsed at some spike getting in and out.

    Those larger moves the op posted need to be waited for patiently and might happen only a few times in a day with something like ES.

    Other than that I dunno.

  7. The system has never changed appreciably from the orginal posts.

    The discrepancy is in the skill-level of the trader who is taking the signals, and for some reason that part of the equation simply cannot be taught, no matter how much you tell people what to do or how to do it.

    chrisofj, I've advised you to continue watching the charts. If you want to trade discretionary, you're going to have to see price action as its taking place, there's no way around that one, no way at all.

    Maybe eventually you will see what I am doing and why, or maybe not, but I've gone out of my way to help you ... remember that.

    GiantDog, my trades are as real, and I'm surprised that anyone would even question them, actually, they're for such a small and pitifull amount. Hell, I made more money than this without SPM, just not as consistently.

    If you don't believe this is real ... you're gonna be in for a big surprise in the coming months and are going to be even more incredulous, but you know what, I really don't care.

    Good luck, I've tried to pass-on something that was given to me gratis. I know the main reason I understood it was because I'd already but in the ground work, so if anyone wants to succeed using this technique, I guess they'ed better do that too.

    IF anyone using this system profitably would mine clarifying somethings as it seems MandelbrotSet doesn't want to enroll me in his boot camp it would be great.

    It seems to me if you wait for the cross your getting way to late and need to play with wide stops.

    What are you doing when you get a cross....are you waiting for a pullback or retracement and then fire. And if that's the case it always boils down to the same thing when is the Pull Back or Retracement done for the trend to resume?

  9. LMFAO, it's not my bootcamp. TUMS (a moderator) resurrected the SPM and called it "SPM Bootcamp", that's what got the whole idea started.

    You've sent me PM's requesting help while:
    1) contributing absolutely nothing to the thread, and;
    2) I don't know you, and;
    3) as far as I know you could be just another alias of someone I really don't care for (with your 8 count posts).

    Try actually giving something if you want to get something. Keep that in mind next time you decide to call my name out juve.
    Screentime will show you why traders love the MACD ... let us know when you figure it out.
    You would know the answers to these and many more questions if you had bothered to do what I told you to do in the first place.

    "Read through the thread and the supporting material, and try it out."

    I'm not anyone's GURU here, and this thread is running into the same problem that the other SPM threads did. You guys are taking what is simple, complicating it, and not paying attention to what is on your screen. That is a sure recipe for failure.

    I've found waiting for a retracement to the 9 SMA works best for me. If the move takes off without me, so be it.

    BTW, I concur with M that everyone has to take responsibility to work with this - it's a starting point.
