  1. Excellent point TV.

It seems to take a few years for the eye and mind to actually *see* what is happening with price action, even though it has allways been right in front of us.

  2. 2m ES Trades cross above or below zero line ONLY

    2 trades - $1200 per one-lot position

Could be about another $200 but there was a bad price in the chart at 12:20 which caused a profitable trade to be scratched.

Just for observation I overlaid a stochastic on the MACD. Also I hid my momentum pane because I need more space to show the large range today.

  3. 2m ES trades with Cross above or below zero , and
cross of both MACD and MACDaverage above and below zero line

    $990 profit per one-lot position

Could be another $200 but trade at 12:20 scratched because of bad price, rentered higher.

Profit was fixed but you could have allowed the last trade to run
    to end of day

See attached with stochastic overlaid on MACD for observation.

  4. Have been looking at the 5m ES --- the blue line is the 9MA.
This is the SPM version with trades generated only when MACD crosses MACD average above (long) and below (short) zero line.
Just 4 trades for profit of $760 per one-lot position. Much more sedate and calmer trading.

Could have reentered trade at 15:15 when market pulled back to 9ma and then resume uptrend.
Could have also front-run the trades when price crossed below or above 9MA... but these enhancements in realtime trading require skills and observations that can come with much more screen time and practice.

I observed first few trades - in 2m and 5m - are rather spurious and meaningless trades. I think we need to put anther filter like "no entries before x % of day" so that no entries are generated before x % of day has elapsed. Put % of day so that you can backtest with various parameter values. Or, simply stand aside until X% of day has passed.

  5. Today I had some clue in real time.

I'm not in the college game yet tho much less the big leagues. My super filtered strategy is interesting to follow in realtime, it seems that when that goes off that perhaps a larger move is under way.

Meanwhile NinjaTrader on the super simple version is so delayed that when it signals long it's actually a good exit signal for the long trade one should already be in lol.

  6. ES 2m too slow for you?

Here is 1m ES with crosses above and below zero only.
    $1200 profit per 1-lot position

Can't replicate this profit this every day but shows the potential in a big range day.

  7. First one, the exits are no good yet.

  8. I used the sma to make sure I enter at a non-extended price and to try to time for that impulse move instead of getting short at the first spike the cross over gives. So there was the zlc at 10.09a. You can use the SMA to give you a price to offer out and try to wait to have that get hit. Or so tt seems to me here in day 3 or 4 I think.

  9. Can't see it here but there was a MACD cross above zero that kind of failed or, I was unwilling to take any heat. There there was a ZLC that I shorted and then bailed. Right after this was the best long and this next long was signalled by my picky SPM NT code, so I held it for a larger move. My picky SPM requires a stochastic oversold as well.

  10. Can see my fill at the SMA, I guess anticipating a ZLC or maybe can't see it on this chart, pretty sure it already crossed. Because of lunch time and this being a signal from my picky SPM I held it for the coded exit.

I missed those pullbacks to 3sma rip into the close, but ok for training wheels today.
