Here's an example of the chart with the correct SMA(3,1) setting. NinjaTrader charts aren't that sophisticated, so it doesn't show the +1 in the upper-left hand corner like it should, but it's there. Notes: 1) You can see what he means about "easy money", as price action just rides the SMA (3,1) up and down with MACD confirmation. 2) BTW, I don't use the NinjaTrader charts, I use QuoteTracker, which is the Bomb-Diggity!
I apologize for that, I forgot to change the default length. Now that it's correct, could you please mark the entries using the correct SMA line ? Thank you TV
Mandel - any chance you can throw some arrows on there to signify where you see trades? I think there's a few guys in the class that took the short bus to school. myself included...
No need to apoligize, and if you would change your SMA line to any other color than that pale green the entries and exits would become obvious.
Changed the color of SMA to a more visible one. Added last short call. SMA not used one bit for the arrow placement determination, that's the part I'm missing. Will study first two arrows suggestion with SMA as a re-entry. Thank you for your time. TV
Another good day for the SPM : 2m chart with only crosses above zero - 5 trades, 2 losses and 3 wins $960 per one-lot position
I saw your post brownsfan, just had to run some errands before I could get to it. This should answer your question abou useing the SMA(3,1) to ... nail the entries, The Voyager. The chart listed meets my criteria for a successful trade by generating at least 2pts of profit per trade. The entries show the use of the SMA(3,1) along with the MACD crossover. I use the Zero Line to gauge the strength of the move and take more than 2pts of profit per trade when The Zero Line Supports The Trade. P.S. In fact the second short is the one than I lost money on ... but I was late on my entry and didn't kill the trade fast enough. So that is my own "trader error". As you see with the other trades, it was pretty easy making that baby up.
