"spirituality" videos - Part II

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by smallStops, May 1, 2013.

  1. I spent quiet a lot of time sleeping and slacking off and gaining some clarity.
I guess the mental "dejunking" is already starting to have some effects :
I will stop slumming it from next country. :)

  2. The trading book : I am reading it very very very slowly, as I really want to get a good understanding of it at the first read. A bit of change from before where I would not have minded reading 2 or 3 times the same book. I go for quality reading.

  3. Preparing for the trading is kind of strange now : I spend quiet lot of sleeping time reviewing mentally trade situations. First time I do that.

  4. Obviously, I will be looking to spend a LOT of time on position sizing / brain chemistry scenarios/ losing streaks scenarios. and position sizing/ brain chemistry/ winning streak scenarios.

  5. I am also understanding better the meanings of "if one really wants to reach a stretching goal, one will have sooner or later have to change something deep into themselves". It makes more sense now , as if the "be" was in alignment with reaching a stretching goal, the goal would actually already been reached...

Anyway, I am really glad to be listening to Thay again.
This time a 3hours session at Google cie ( for those who like having external "seal of approavals").

The talk starts really at 00:50:00. The first 30 minutes allows one to quiet the mind.

  6. Let's just point out that Thich Nhat Hanh, is actually 87 years old , and sitting for 3 hours.

  7. I do not know if thinking this way is right or wrong, but it seems to me that some people set themselves on the "junk path" and do not understand why people - who are "aware" - do not want to get in the "junk path". :)
But then, many years down the road - 10, 20, 30 ... many years down the line, the promoters of "junk path" then want to "pollute" those who have avoided and resisted the "junk path", and complain that these avoiders are :
    - arrogant. LOL.
    - feel superior. Mega LOL.

  8. Now, few days ago, I was discussing with a fellow traveller and mentioning that lads from the west would do well to come here to pick up women as they really work hard on their appearances.
I did not really add that here, they are extremely easy, nor that they carry some "interesting" genes that can be seen in some orphanages. Sometimes it is better to keep the negative sides for oneself, but promote positively the locals.
    ...
well well well few days after, I was wondering if one local woman here was an escort, or working girl, or a professional belonging to a network ( as these networks provide information on the potential customers or targets) . I got my suspicions raised when she went "heavy" on a lad, and basically started to pose for a "doggy position" with the underwear being exposed in a "strategic way". Discussing with her, turns out that she - and the other females here - really loves the type of future some traveller represents, having now more information about the traveller. As the "competition" is thus stiff - as information about the traveller are being spread- and she is here for a short time, she had to "be very clear about displaying what assets she had and 'secure' (sic!) a 'physical' link "! LOL.

I definitively think this place is the place for any westerner who has "difficulties". :).
I, for sure, will be back here again.:).
The females attitude here makes it a perfect place for one of my problems :).

I think, but I have to fully check, that one westerner's monthly benefits , can be higher than a medical doctor here salary. So, IF a emale has the mentality, that any means is fine when it comes to financial issues, I guess a westerner is a good bet. hahahahaha. LOL.

  9. I am quiet surprized that Thay and his disciples, are the very few rare guest speakers who actually brought gifts to their hosts. I find this very enlighting : they practice what they preach.

  10. The book reading is going slowly, but it is going ahead. I am learning some nuances on the market I did really not formulate well. So this is a plus.

Then, for the coming trading session, I am wondering if I am going for a portfolio trading ( 30 instruments traded ), or if I will only trade one instrument. On one side, doing small sizes still means good return with a lot of physical "activities" as dealing with so many instruments.
On the other side, just one instrument means the temptation to fall into position size increases dangers, but less physical "activities".
