Part of it, is also feeding the spirit of interesting knowledge. Healthy body, healthy mind, healthy spirit for a better trader. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RVYnN8mBejY?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Talk starts at 00:16:00, but the intro allows to get the mind in the right frame.
Looks like tons of people are flocking in for some world championships again. Funny how one notices these type of things when on holidays. Discovered that Honore de Blazac liked the city so much that he spent 4 years here. I wonder why he was obsessed with counting how many different type of breads were made here ( 77 apparently), but each one to their harmless obsessions.... hmmm I remember one of his book was about a peculiar breadmaker. It would be quiet interesting if this city actually inspired his work of art. Otherwise, the buddhist meditation talks are just so amazing : so much insight and knowledge. First, I will be improving my exercises with following: 1) breath In/Out 2) focus on body 3) relax body and release tension 4) practice feeling joy 5) practice feeling happiness 6) practice feeling pain 7) practice releasing pain The speaker is a very admirable, remarkable and knowledgable person. I really thank the person who introduced us to Buddhist viewpoints.
Now, understanding that it is all about protecting my brain chemistry, I accept much better the position sizing 'rules'. I suppose I made the assumption that I could determine the exact sequence of winners and losers. This belief motivated the 'reckless' attitude and obviously with the dopamine and serotonin kicking in the internal euphoria, I had to have my trading account shut down, otherwise I'd just have continued and gone for bigger sizes. I am glad I complained about not being allowed bigger sizes: this allowed to see what was the wrong belief sustaining the extremely high-risky behavior. The thing is I am realizing that this high-risk attitude would not even lead to high rewards!!! I feel like a huge bullet removed from my foot. lol.
Continuing to listen to this very knowledgeable person. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bAbTMS-WEgM?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Talk starts at 00:15:00, but the intro allows to get the mind in the right frame.
Listening to Thay talks, I can undertsand why people respect him so much: so full of wisdom, with a mindblowing knowledge and understanding of the human body, mind and spirit. It is just so refreshing to see senior individuals with such qualities. He obviously is a real force of good and making positive changes with far reaching consequences. These type of remarkable people are extremely rare. Thanks again for these videos. . This is really improving the way I see things. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xqyi0hpiZrM?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Again talk starts at 00:15:00, but the introduction allows one to get in the right frame of mind.
Oh well so it was a 0-0 for this championship. This is why today things were so quiet... even here locals feared the worst.lol.
Till the end of the month, I will be doing some trading exercises. It looks like I will be happily reading the book I was not that so motivated to read, as it is useful for these exercises. lol. I have to say, the life of a travelling trader is really a joyful one. Looks like down in the Holy Land there is a really low cost skydiving company. As the coach says, it is important to generate these rush of dopamine and serotonin in a controlled manner, and skydiving will certainly flood your brain. We'll see.
It is very pleasing to notice some pals refusing to be drawn down to the level of people who have a gutter mindset and personality. Keep going, you are doing well. Be the best you can be.
Just visited a museum of local victims of various wars and oppressions. Really instructive. I could not help wondering what 'escuses' the people who committed such massacres would come up with : we were doing our work, we could not do anything else, it was not our fault, ... Or some would just prefer become 'deniers'. Then I could not help thinking of the good doers who for some reasons, never go and offer escuses. They just take their responsabilities, and make sure they never let themselves in certain kind of situations. I am also impressed by all the churches here - specifically baroque style one. Very beautiful. During the guide's discussion, I could not help wondering if the churches were filled when the news went out that nuclear reactor had kind of a problem... The only survivors could have been the monks in the monastries's caves. The place now look really different, realising that less than 20 years ago, they could have just all died... I am also kind of stunned to understand that the beautiful Ladies here carry with them some genes whose effects can be seen in the many orphanages. I never really thought of that! Now, time to resume the trading book reading. The aim being to understand the writer's thinking patterns. Once I can nail the thinking patterns, it will be really easy to make a full summary easily.
I guess this week is about realising how important it is to do one's "homework". . It is just so strange to realise how blind / how things look like a smokescreen : the extend of health hazards of people of this country due to their disaster is just so astonishing. I really do not know what to think of that.
