  1. I am now going to look to why one is psychoogically tempted to increase trade sizes.

  2. first let's look at a person becoming risk-seeking with house money.
I am not looking to the trader who becomes more risk adverse for fear of losing the gains.

  3. So looking to position-sizing and the psychology associated.

    First article :
"Position-sizing Effects on Trader Performance: an experimental analysis"

    ( master thesis)
"Non-academic literature on stock and futures trading emphasizes
the importance of “money management”, here defined as "how
much of available capital is to be allocated in a specific market
    position"
, also called position size. The effect of position size was
experimentally studied by letting two groups trade fictitious capital
through a series of trades, with only one variable available for
manipulation by the participants, that is, how much of available
capital to be put at risk in each and every trade. The treatment
group had received a three-hour lecture in position sizing, risk
management, and psychological biases, whereas the control group
did not. The results showed that participants in the treatment
group lost all their money to a lesser extent (p < .01) than those in
the control group. However, the treatment group did not gain
significantly higher profits than the control group. Traders being
able to gain money over the long run were taking smaller positions

than losing and bankrupt traders were (p < .0001). By receiving a
theoretical education, without any practical training, the risk for a
trader of going bankrupt when trading simulated stocks was
    decreased to a tenth"

... this is really cooling down my urge to up the sizes! lol

  4. Oh well... lately I was wondering about the pro poker player we had in view for our plans... he showed up unexpectedly ! lol! with so much over-confidence that I could recognise a winner at money games like trading or poker. "I am the greatest at poker" !!!!
Music to my ears.lol. As a "talent" manager, it is very important to get your crew to appreciate what one is offering, in case he was to think he does not need my input as he is the greatest at poker. :D
We will not need to work on his 'friend' :) .

Trading now is really about patience, daily patience.
The nice thing is it is leaving plenty of time in the hands, so quiet a few things I wanted done are actually being put in place. My "charity" vision is actually coming into reality in a way/manner I would have never guessed , but it is getting there. Very strange that things just get into place in a very healthy and sane way.

  5. I am quiet happy with the progress I have done so far : psychologically, mentally, spiritually and even physically I am seeing the signs.
I will arrange obviously to be there at least one week in advance.
There is a very good reason, the organizer has reservations and it makes sense as it is all about a type of "work" I have never done, have not done and will never do. No matter the methods of "culpabilisation" or other psy/mental tricks..

I am really glad to be finding out that the pro-player we found had been practicing poker since age 16, for more than 7 years intensively on his own. Unfortunately, his life is very chaotic, and here we come :D . Looks like I will be doing on him, what my coach did on me. This is going to be a very interesting experience.

  6. The trading : doing 2 months of "revision" of trading. Interesting to be going over things and with my new perspectives, and more experience, things look really different.
I am really not worrying about techniques, etc... the only thing I worry about is var var var : not too big to be too dangerous, not too small to make trading returns not interesting, not motivating enough. What for sure I hate losing days. I only want winning days and winning days.
As I had to "recover" from the mess created by assholes ( some animals = stalkers-pimps-demonically possessed prostituta- and you name it), obviously any profit size was good enough. Now, getting back into things, and freeing up my own mind from these junk people who first need to get help ( good clinical psy exist for a reason assholes), I am becoming more demanding in terms of returns ( while keeping risks small).

  7. Not astonishingly our pro poker uses frequently "performances enhancing substances" that is not sold in a chemist shop, the first thing will be to get him to work on his health. Obviously I can't tell him now to go and check in a rehab center, though this is in the list. lol.

  8. I am now understanding better why he became so good at poker - indeed where could a person with no education, make so much returns. Obviously there is trading, but he did not know about trading.
Also, I explained that really to make it in trading as a solo trader, tons of good "psychology work " is needed. To this he answered : "great, trading is not for me. You took me for poker, we'll stick to poker. I am not even interested in your trading". Now I know we can do a very good job with him. :D :D :D .

  9. For our lad, we might start with two hours of walking per day in a park, with proper breathing ( inhale/exhale) and walking on grass barefoot. This followed by 20 minutes of yoga , followed by a good and heavy breakfast, and finishing off by reading 2 hours a pro-poker biography. The key will be for him to follow this regime for at least 8 weeks no matter what.

  10. It is quiet interesting for me to be creating an "improvement" program for our poker coachee.
This is actually inspiring me to re-read the wizz trading books. :) . I am also thinking of what type of trading practices I can create for myself.
