Good info thanks Brandon. As of today: Google: 32 - $16.17 Yahoo: 66 - $33.03 Total Net Cost: $0 (promotion) Hops: 31 Sales: $0 I know you said to give it 100 hops but im beginning to lose faith in this product. I went live on the 16th so maybe im being impatient. Just looking at these numbers though I need to bring my cost down or get sales up. At this point I only have control over cost so I might mess with some things tonight. I would like to have my other site up by this weekend. (edit) Net cost is promotion only, domain was $1.99 and hosting is $9 a month for 3 months. I do everything through Yahoo because I trust them and have never had a problem with them. I can do almost everything through them except adwords, including yahoo site builder which is free and easy to use. I know there is cheaper options out there.
Also, whats the best way to lower CPC? Is it just lower bids and less popular keywords? Any help with this would be appreciated.
For getting traffic there is a really good course available on getting it at wholesale prices. I'm not sure at this point that it is apropriate for anyone here because it's $2000, but the guy who put it together is a friend of mine (and no sparky I ain't gettin paid) who spends a ton of time on Google and has a number of opt in lists of over 1million people. He pretty much goes over the system he uses, but you have to keep in mind that things can and do change, still it would give you a good starting point. I had the advanced review copy and it was very good. I know he was going to limit it to 200 or 300 buyers so I'm not even sure if its still on the market. The thing with traffic though is that its obviously important. I guess if I had to pick an order I'd go with learning salesmanship then getting traffic, but the thing with the web is that even if your salesmanship is terrible you can still eek out a bit..but its getting harder and harder. A great place to learn salesmanship is the Gary Halbert letter. Since Gary sadly died several years ago all of the back issues of his formerly very expensive newsletter are available for FREE online. http://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com/newsletter-archives.htm PS. Someone PM'd me about the name of the traffic course and I really don't want to give it out and the reason for that is that everything changes so fast with traffic. The reason I mention it is to simply say there is stuff working now and you can learn it. However, the algorithms and whatnot with google change so often that unless you are already spending several thousand dollars per month on PPC, at least $1000, I really do not think it would be hard to get your investment back. I mean I got my investment back the first day, but it was coz i had a review copy for feedback (kinda like Im doing with you folks) so my experience with it doesnt count. It has lowered my overall traffic costs by about 30%, but I invested about 20 hours into the course and doing the stuff it talks about. (I had 20 hours coz I was in isolation at the hospital for 93 days with not a damn thing to do and only 10 channels of TV....think I got bored sometimes??_
This scammer is unbelievable. Look at his latest post, answering overspool, about how he supposedly bids. Everything would like fine, unless and until you think a bit below the surface, and then you will see the warms.... Take the example of bidding on the title of a story. What the scammer/empty talker forgot to account for is that others are placing their ads on that story page. He assumed he is the ONLY ONE on that page adverstising. You have been on the net to know that each page is full of ads (average 10). Since ads display is an auction process, the other ads will get him out of the race because they would be bidding on other words in the article. In the Madoff scammer example for instance, there should be words such as trading, stocks, etc. His ads will required him to pay as much as words such as stock trading (which is expensive). So his story on speaky tactics is yet another potential tactic of a scammer to try to appear an expert. This guy thinks that he thinks, while in reality he is just spinning, and doing half backed things that do not work. Scammer: I just got you again. Here is the fundamental mistake he is making: His example shows that he does not even realize that ads on google is an AUCTION! Your price does not depend on what you bid, but also what others are bidding, and on other words in that page. You are in the ash heap of history scammer. I bet you have never seen a person like RFT. Whenever you move, I get you in yet another cage. You have been caged multiples time, and still you are in those cages. I hold the keys, and they are outside of your cages. So stay calm in there. You can be as violent as you want, but you will always be in those cages. There is nothing you can do about it, except if Yours Truly have pity on you and unlock out of them.
How is it going today? PS: Scammer: if you want to help overspool, ask him to open a clickbank account, you pay for traffic and he will watch the sales. Once you have some sales, he will take your ads and keywords, and continue from there. He will not spend more than the sales you would have made. Once he reaches the same sales as you would have done, he will release the money and send it to you. If you are really successfull, you will not lose money by doing this but make money, and you would prove whether what you say you do is true or not true, in this case at least. Under any case, I would never give a person like you even a dime because you are dishonest and/or incompetent.
Hey sparky you have a chance to make an honest $75,000 for I'm sure the first time in your life. If you can put together any three years on the net that you made more then $519,000 the $75,000 CASH is your for the taking. Put up or shut the fuck up. Get back to work on your stupid trading blog, there be money in them there hills.
I don't assume im the only one placing an ad. I swear to god if you entered an IQ test with a dead flea you would lose.cI know that I am competing with a bunch of other people so I customize my ad to the article. So in my example of a madof article I'll have an add about Dirty Wall Street SOBs stealing their money and learn how to get it back or keep them from doing it in the first place. You see they read the ad about madoff and they say those dirty cocksuckers, they are stealing my money..then my ad is over there screaming at them, these dirty bloodsuckers SOBS are stealing your money and here is how you can get your revenge. Who's ad ya suppose gets clicked? Mine or some generic make lots of money on wall street (when they are all pissed off and think the game is rigged now because of that article) What i just gave is a tactic that you would spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn from the best direct marketing minds in the world. It's called enter the conversation that is already in their mind. If you do that, even you could make money on the internet sparky. Take me up on my offer sparky. Last night I was begging to give you money, but it was a small amount I understand that you had tables to bus and Denny's and clicks to STEAL from honest business people on google. Come on it's 75 g's sparky. Imagine the fast cars, good looking hookers, fancy places you could go. For the first time in your whole entire pathetic friggin life you could matter, at least until the money ran out.
RED ALERT, STOP THE PRESSES, CALL PRESIDENT BARAK OBAMA WE HAVE A SITUATION ON OUR HANDS It may or may not be true (it probably is tru) that Brandon Fredrickson sells stuff. (good stuff though). If you engage him and if at some point if he thinks he has something of value for you he might <gasp> try to sell it to you!!!!! I know! Whoda thunk it.
Basic Structure of an effective PPC (Yahoo, MSN, Google) Ad This is a very simple structure to follow. If you do not deviate very far from it I think you will find yourself having a lot more luck with your ads. Headline ------>Absolutly MUST get their attention (Think of your headline as the ad for your ad) Line 1------->Must generate interest (benefits, whats in it for me) Line 2 ------->Decision (why should I go to www.buymyshit.com ) Display URL ---->Take some action www.buymyshit.com, or org if ya want Btw...don't use a god damn dot org URL ever ever ever never never never unless your a damn dot org! If the dot com name is not available KEEP YOUR THINKING CAP ON AND FIND A DOT COM. You aint gonna get sales. In fact I have stupidly tested this with my own money. The exact same URL but one being a dot com name and the other being a dot org...NOTHING ELSE IS CHANGED, the dot com outpulls the dot org by a HUGE margin. Brandon PS. B4 you get your panties all up in a bunch Sparky, NO I DID NOT INVENT THIS FORMULA. In fact it actually has a name, AIDA, and it has been used in the direct marketing (junk mail) industry forever. It's by far the best format to use for your ad campaigns. PPS. I got a deal for you sparky, if your interested. I'll help you for two weeks with your business. Say half an hour to an hour a day. I figure if I can teach a half wit like you to make money it'll show that I can help anyway. Whatcha say? PPSS. AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Decision, Action. Again, follow this sequence and money will follow you to the bank. If your ads follow AIDA I can almost gaurantee you are going to outpull the other ads on the page. Most people are stupid with their ads. If you ask the average guy with a google ad "why will someone click on your ad?" he will say well coz he wants to learn about XX....lemme tell you something. No one searches wanting to buy your shit. I have never ever entered a google searching wanting to buy, or not very often. When someone does a search the last thing on their mind is your site, www.buymyshit.com, they might be interested in www.freeshit.com , but definatly not buymyshit.com. YOU GOTTA GRAB THEIR EYEBALLS to get them to TAKE ACTION. PPPSS. I obviously own every single site on the web with the word shit in it! DOH!!!! SPARKY.
Did I mention that I'm a HUGE fan of the content network..and NOT SO MUCH the search network. CPM banner ads still work great too if you have the budget and you can find a good demographically similar site. Rules on the content network are a little bit less rigid then the search network.
